Yesterday, The Florida Democratic Party Demonstrated What It's Made Of

Why Would You Think None Of Them Work For The GOP?

Nikki Fried, loser— and there are others worse than her

The mass resignation of the upper echelon of the Florida Democratic Party, the most outrageous political grifting operation in America, would be too lenient. All the top officials should go on TV and commit seppuku. Instead of registering voters, they spent the whole cycle time fighting over which one would run for governor in 2026 and grifting off the American people by pretending Kamala and Debbie Mucarsel-Powell could win by magic... without registered voters.

This is a state where Obama won twice— by registering voters— but even Hillary and Biden did far better than Kamala did last night.

  • Hillary- 4,504,975 (47.4%)

  • Biden- 5,297,045 (47.9%)

  • Kamala- 4,626,868 (42.9%)

As for Mucarsel-Powell… 42.7% against Rick Scott, who, hyped up polls said, could be beaten (send money). He beat her by double digits, although she burned through $30,000,000, making lots of rich Democratic consultants even richer.

But let’s get back to Kamala, who I’m not blaming for any of this. This is the Florida Democratic party 100%... well 90%. I mean she could have tried to win there instead of just ceding it to Trump without a battle. These are the 20 biggest counties in the state, in which Kamala did worse than Biden in every one. Every county in the state performed better for Biden than for Kamala

  • Miami-Dade— 2020: Biden +7; 2024: Trump +12

  • Broward— 2020: Biden +30; 2024: Kamala +17

  • Palm Beach— 2020: Biden +13; 2024: Kamala +0.68

  • Hillsborough— 2020: Biden +7; 2024: Trump +3

  • Orange— 2020: Biden +23; 2024: Kamala +12

  • Pinellas— 2020: Biden +0.22; 2024: Trump +5

  • Duval— 2020: Biden +4; 2024: Trump +1.9

  • Lee— 2020: Trump +19; 2024: Trump +28

  • Brevard— 2020: Trump +16; 2024: Trump +21

  • Polk— 2020: Trump +14; 2024: Trump +21

  • Volusia— 2020: Trump +14; 2024: Trump +22

  • Pasco— 2020: Trump +20; 2024: Trump +25

  • Sarasota— 2020: Trump +10; 2024: Trump +18

  • Seminole— 2020: Biden +3; 2024: Trump +4

  • Manatee— 2020: Trump +16; 2024: Trump +24

  • Lake— 2020: Trump +20; 2024: Trump +25

  • Collier— 2020: Trump +25; 2024: Trump +33

  • Marion— 2020: Trump +26; 2024: Trump +32

  • St. Johns— 2020: Trump +27; 2024: Trump +31

  • Osceola— 2020: Biden +14; 2024: Trump +1.5

I don’t know what to say. Trump increased his score in every single county, the red ones, the purple ones, the blue ones. As far as the House races, the Democratic Party didn’t seriously contest any and the south Florida Republicans who were once thought vulnerable, all skated to easy wins... as if there was no Democratic opposition:

  • Maria Salazar- 60.5%

  • Carlos Gimenez- 64.6%

  • Mario Diaz Balart- 71.0%

And while we’re at it, Amendment 4— the Right to Abortion failed to hit 60%. Same for the marijuana legalization amendment. Each won majorities but that doesn’t matter when 60% is what’s required.

Does Tennessee have a Dem Party? I have been in Nash for 6 years. I have seen Gloria Johnson walking in the wild a few times. No real support.

Yes, my state's Dem party is totally FUBAR. It appears that the OH state party is, too.

I don't know how much Mucarsel-Powell ultimately spent compared to Scott. She appeared to have a decent TV presence, and her ads were good. Scott never deigned to debate her.

I do know that there was no evidence of a grassroots Dem effort locally. The 'burb in which I live has a roughly 2:1 Dem registration edge. Normally, yard signs for candidates will dot local lawns in roughly that ratio as a presidential/Senate election approaches. That didn't happen this year--yard signs were few and far between. No one apparently bothered to get signs distributed--assuming that they were printed up in the first place.
