Trump Is Too Scared To Debate Kamala— Prosecutor vs Felon Is A Bad Look For Him

Trump Fears She’d Wipe The Floor With Him

Kamala seems dominant-- art by Nancy Ohanian

Yesterday, Isaac Arnsdorf, Michael Scherer and Abbie Cheeseman reported that Mr. “Anytime, Anyplace” will only debate Kamala on his terms— and only inside the Fox cocoon with alive audience. Backing out of the agreement he had reached with the Biden campaign, he made it clear he has no intention of negotiating new terms; the sniveling coward said “I’ll see her September 4th, or I won’t see her at all.” I guess he’ll see her on TV when she’s inaugurated.

Harris says she has every intention to show up at the September 10 debate on ABC News, whether Señor T is hiding under the bed or not. “The qualification terms for the ABC debate that Trump had previously agreed to,” wrote Arnsdorf, Scherer and Cheeseman, “did not specify the names of the candidates. To be eligible to attend the debate, candidates had to reach at least 15 percent support in four separate national polls of registered or likely voters, ABC said when it released its requirements in May… Trump falsely claimed late Friday that Harris had agreed to the debate on Fox. There’s no evidence that such a deal ever existed. The Harris campaign said Saturday that she never agreed to a new debate deal.”

Trump’s decision to reopen debate negotiations has restarted a network scramble. CBS News, which had proposed a vice-presidential debate that Biden’s campaign had accepted, has circulated a proposal for a vice-presidential debate on Sept. 3 and presidential debate on Sept. 4, the same date as the Fox debate Trump has described, according to a person familiar with the proposal who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe private communications.
The Commission on Presidential Debates, the traditional mediator for debates, has also said it is ready to move forward with its previously scheduled debates if the candidates are interested.
Harris spokesman Michael Tyler said the campaign would discuss additional debates after the one Trump already agreed to.
“Donald Trump is running scared and trying to back out of the debate he already agreed to and running straight to Fox News to bail him out,” Tyler said. “Mr. Anytime, anywhere, anyplace should have no problem with that unless he’s too scared to show up on the 10th,” he added, referring to language Trump previously used to pressure Biden into agreeing to a faceoff.
The Harris campaign understands that ABC intends to provide the airtime to whichever qualifying candidates show up, even if it is just her, according to a campaign official.
In Friday’s post, Trump also raised objections to ABC serving as moderator, even though he previously accepted the network’s role. Trump referenced a lawsuit against ABC accusing host George Stephanopoulos of defaming him by misstating a jury verdict in a New York trial that found the former president liable for sexual abuse. A federal judge in Florida said in July that the case could proceed.
Trump agreed to the ABC debate in May two months after filing his lawsuit against the network. The moderators will be David Muir and Linsey Davis, not Stephanopoulos.

I used to lament that horse-race journalism on politics, i.e. the pontificating on who was going to win, rather than an investigation of what each candidate is likely to do and how that will affect the country going forward, was ruining our country.

But now we're not even covering the horse race, we're covering the trash talk? Is speculation on who is scared to debate whom really the basis on which adults want to select the leader of the free world? This constant appeal to emotion and tribalism has got to stop.

and don't most horse races feature more than two swayback nags?

And the tribalism shit won't stop until americans make it stop. stop consuming media who only cover the superficial and maybe make someone actually, you know, do some actual journalism.

we get what we want based on how we consume media. so... it's our fault.

same disclaimer on every shitty election choice we've had since hhh vs. nixon... it's all our own damn fault.

note: not only have the choices been shit... we always seem to elect the worse of the two. whyizzatzactly?

what we need for the kind of necessary epiphany, according to song, is more "booze in the blender"?

If kamala had actually prosecuted foreclosure fraudsters, including steve mnuchin who was punished for hundreds of cases, at least, of foreclosure fraud in CA during the crash by becoming sec treasury, I would be comfortable calling her "prosecutor". Frankly, she's no more a prosecutor than merrick garland.

While, objectively, she'd destroy trump in any kind of fair debate, the truth is that no matter who did what, it wouldn't do anything more than reinforce the biases in both sides.

Those who loathe trump and nazis won't end up loathing them more.

And those who hate women and ethnics and democraps won't end up hating them more either.

What is more likely to happen is for kamala to promise all kinds…

EVERYTHING is about his cult.

His cult is the reason he was president once and will be fuhrer.

His cult is the reason democraps don't to do anything when they have the white house and congress. All they have to do is run against him.

His cult sees him as their jesus. No matter what he does or says or does not do or does not say, they worship him as their deity. He can do no wrong.

I'm only a little surprised YOU don't know that.
