The DCCC is raising tens of millions of dollars to reelect Democratic Party incumbents in the House. In theory, the committee doesn’t judge between good Democrats and bad Democrats. In reality, over the decades, they’ve always been seen to favor bad Democrats. For example, can we all agree that the 6 Democrats who voted to “strongly condemn” Kamala Harris— who they falsely called a border czar— for the turmoil Trump left at the southern border are bad Democrats? Of those 6 who voted with the Republicans to pass the condemnation— Mary Peltola (Blue Dog-AK), Yadira Caraveo (New Dem-CO), Jared Golden (Blue Dog-ME), Don Davis (New Dem-NC), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (Blue Dog-WA) and Henry Cuellar (Blue Dog-TX)— 5 are on the DCCC Front Line list, while one, Henry Cuellar, was caught taking bribes and is more than likely headed to prison.
When the DCCC asks you for money, they’re not asking you for money so they can help Cori Bush, Jamaal Bowman, Summer Lee or Pramila Jayapal. They want to the money to bolster bad Democrats like the 5 who voted to condemn Kamala. This is the DCCC Front Line list of candidates, the candidates they will spend most of their money on. I’ve included each candidate’s lifetime ProgressivePunch rating and each district’s partisan lean:

Conservative Dems— with the very active encouragement of the DCCC— claim they can only win in their red-leaning districts by adopting GOP-lite positions. It’s a bad strategy, destroys the Democratic Party’s brand and encourages behavior like… voting to condemn Kamala Harris in a Republican Party messaging bill. Last cycle, for example, Don Davis, one of the most conservative Democrats in Congress, saw the DCCC and its allies per over $8 million into his race. This week, he voted with the Republicans, as he regularly does, for whatever reason he thinks he has to— or, worse, because that’s who he is.
But let’s look at the 3 hot races in Pennsylvania instead, where all 3 Democrats have far redder districts than Davis’, whose district’s partisan lean is D+5 (not red at all). Meanwhile, the 3 Pennsylvania races are in districts with R+4, R+8 and D+1. None of this incumbents voted to condemn Kamala— and none of those incumbents have shitty “F”- rated records. Matt Cartwright has been beating GOP candidates in his very Republican district year after year after year by voted for his strong progressive values and making sure voters know what he’s doing to help them. Susan Wild and Chris Deluzio are using similar strategies.
In 2020, Cartwright’s northeast Pennsylvania district, which include’s Scranton, gave Trump a 50.9% to 48.0% win over hometown boy Joe Biden. Cartwright flipped the table on Republican Jim Bognet, beating him 51.8% to 48.2%, while never putting on a GOP-lite guise. The NRCC and its allies spent close to half a million dollars attacking Cartwright, while the DCCC and its allies put nothing like the $8 million they spent on Davis into Cartwright’s race— less than a tenth of that. Everyday, Cartwright goes to work to give his constituents a reason to support him. Davis does the opposite. Davis is a the prototypical DCCC candidate.
Just remember when the DCCC asks you for money, overwhelmingly, it’s for shitty incumbents and shitty candidates like crypto-crook shill Shomari Figures (AL), corrupt reactionaries like Adam Gray and Rudy Salas (CA) and— more than anything— GOP-lie candidates across the board. Recommendation: not one cent, not ever. You can give directly to vetted progressive challengers here and progressive incumbents here.
"and progressive incumbents here." Bowman lost his primary. Is he running as an independent? What happens to donations that go to him now?
You are completely wrong here about the DCCC.
The Cossacks work for the Czar.
Rahm Emanuel did what he did under the specific direction of Nancy Pelosi.
The evil that was done was done by and for Pelosi.
6 House Dems voted for a BS resolution that is now being used in advertising against the Dem presidential nominee designate. If I had $1 for every time in the last 2 presidential elections that I was told that I HAD to vote for the presidential nominee who the mandarins foisted upon me.
The donkey demands loyalty--except when it doesn't, and, when it doesn't, it's invariably for reasons that work to progressives' detriment.
The party mandarins rallied to this crook:
While feeding Jamaal Bowman to the wolves.
