Since Trump Acquired The Republican Party, Dishonesty Has Become An Attribute— Meet Bernie Moreno

No one likes a liar... except Republicans

Ohio Senate candidate Bernie Moreno is a closet case. The worst thing about closet cases is that lying becomes second nature to them, as it has to Moreno. Some say he found the right occupation for a compulsive liar when he became a used car dealer, although most Americans polled by Gallup say politicians are even less trustworthy than used car salesmen.

One of the things Moreno has lied about for years was his educational attainment. He claimed he earned an MBA from the University of Michigan and used that to sell himself. He did earn a bachelor’s degree in business, awarded in 1989.

Marty Schladen reported he began pushing this lie in 2011 and repeated it over and over again, but more recently has blamed “a staffer who made a mistake.” He always does that. He’s trying to poo-poo the whole thing, but the difference between a Bachelor’s in Business and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) is significant both in terms of education level and the skills each degree confers. A Bachelor’s in Business, typically a 4-year undergraduate degree focused on general business principles such as finance, marketing, management and economics, provides a broad foundation for entry-level positions in business and related fields. An MBA is an advanced graduate degree with far more prestige, signifying in-depth knowledge of business strategy, leadership and often includes training in areas like global markets, entrepreneurship, and high-level management techniques.

If Moreno misrepresented his education, it raises questions about his honesty and integrity. Voters have a right to expect candidates to be truthful about their qualifications. Misleading voters, especially regarding something as verifiable as an educational degree, indicates a lack of respect for voters and can damage a candidate's credibility.

By claiming to have an MBA when he only holds a bachelor's, Moreno was clearly exaggerating his qualifications, leading voters to question whether he is truly prepared for the role. If he misrepresented his academic background on multiple platforms, it raises concerns about accountability and whether similar exaggerations or misrepresentations could occur in his public service. You may recall that his son-in-law, Republican Congressman Max Miller, a drug addict, whose only claim to fame was that he would chop up Trump Adderall for him on the road, claims that Moreno lies about everything. He and Moreno’s daughter are in the throes of a bitter divorce and child custody dispute. Moreno helped his daughter and grandchild sneak out of Miller’s house by secretly buying her a new home while Miller was out of town.

Sherrod Brown is leading Moreno in all polls, despite Ohio having an R+6 PVI. In 2020, Trump beat Biden statewide 53.3% to 45.2%

The party of W, Cheney, Rove, Atwater, Helms, Gingrich, and St. Ron the Simple was plenty dishonest back when Trump was a private citizen who wanted to fry the Central Park 5. The party that has been enabling Trump for 8 years now will continue to be dishonest when he (hopefully) goes down to well-deserved career-ending defeat. Meanwhile, it's not like the party of "all of the above" on climate change is exactly a paragon of integrity.

S. Brown is, obviously, one of the better Dem senators. OH having a moribund "state party" and the donkey effectively conceding the presidential race there make life more difficult for him

oh bullshit. dishonesty is the primary trait of politicians. it's been that way forever. Until "the steal", the biggest con in politics was "trickle down economics". I guess you all forgot.

and trump didn't "acquire" the nazi party. THEY acquired their longed-for fuhrer. They found the someone of room-temp IQ, pure evil and unbounded ambition they've all been waiting for.

Before trump coalesced them all, the party was voted for by white nazis, christian nationalists, rabid democrat haters, haters of nonwhites, women, gays, immigrants, nonchristians... as well as the minority who actually think giving the rich everything is a fine idea (those of single-digit IQs and the rich). The party had to pander to everyone and hope they could spar…
