So far 14 incumbent Democrats and 7 GOP incumbents are not running for their House seats next year. There will be more (like George Santos, for example). Thirteen are running for statewide office— 10 Democrats and 3 Republicans:


Colin Allred (New Dem-TX)- is running a long shot Senate race

His House seat is safely blue- D+14

Jim Banks (R-IN)- is a likely winner for the open Indiana Senate seat

His House seat is safely red- R+18

Dan Bishop (R-NC)- is in a competitive race for North Carolina Attorney General

His House seat is safely red- R+19

Lisa Blunt Rochester (New Dem-DE)- will walk into the Senate seat

Her House seat is safely blue- D+7

Ruben Gallego (D-AZ)- is running for a Senate seat against Kyrsten Sinema and Kari Lake (leans blue)

His House seat is safely blue- D+24

Jeff Jackson (New Dem-NC)- is in a competitive race for North Carolina Attorney General

His House seat was gerrymandered to make room for the slob you drew the new boundaries, Tim Moore

Andy Kim (D-NJ)- running in a long shot primary for Bob Menendez’s seat against Tammy Murphy, governor's wife and "former" Republican

His House seat is fairly safely blue- D+6

Barbara Lee (D-CA)- long shot bid to the open Senate seat

Her House seat is 100% safe- D+40

Alex Mooney (R-WV)- suicidal primary run for a Senate seat

His House seat is safely red- R+22

Katie Porter (D-CA)- competitive bid for the open Senate seat

Her House seat is swingy with an especially bad Democratic frontrunner- D+3

Adam Schiff (D-CA)- competitive bid for the open Senate seat

His House seat is safely blue- D+23

Elissa Slotkin (New Dem-MI)- competitive bid for the open Senate seat

Her House seat leans red- R+2

David Trone (New Dem-MD)- suicidal primary run for an open Senate seat likely to be won by Angela Alsobrooks
