Part 14: A Journal Of A Plague Year-- The Lunacy For Which Republicans Stand. "Best Words," Vol. 10

-by Noah

1. Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO): When Rep. Buck went on the air with Neil Caputo at FOX "News," recently, the subject turned to the newly released Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Caputo innocently asked when Buck would be getting his shot in the arm. Putting on his official Republican "I really don't care, do you care, this is what the congressman had to say:

I will not be taking the vaccine. I'm an American. I have the freedom to decide if I'm going to take a vaccine or not and in this case I am not going to take the vaccine.

Yeah, it is your right to choose. The right to choose what you do with your body, right? Tell me. Rep. Buck, does that same view hold for your female constituents? Oh, and there's the issue of how many people might get sick and die when you become the typhoid Mary of your town. Drink the bleach, asshole!

Meanwhile in Minnesota, State $enator Jerry Relph also chose poorly. He was vehemently opposed to COVID-19 restrictions. He even went to a big, swingin' Republican super-spreader event, caught the plague and has now left the building. Destination: Hell. Send us a postcard, Relphie!

2. Patrick Byrne, Former CEO Of Overstock.com: Mike Lindell, aka The My Pillow Clown, has competition in his quest for the 2020 Top Korporate Loon trophy. Patrick Byrne, ousted CEO of Overstock.com who once reportedly told his financial advisors that a cabal lead by a "Sith Lord" was out to destroy his company, who once also claimed to have bribed Hillary Clinton with $18,000,000, self-proclaimed "Deep State" expert, and admitted former lover of Russian asset Maria Butina, was right there in Trump's December 21st oval office meeting with Sidney Powell and Michael Flynn where they discussed declaring martial law and negating the election results in key swing states in their seditious and treasonous coup planning. Byrne has since made a point of going on most of the predictable rightwing kook TV outlets championing the mad pro-coup ravings of Trump, Powell, Flynn, Rudy Giuliani and others. Byrne, at minimum a seditionist himself, is not at all happy with some Trump advisors who are contradicting "the bigly 3" and trying to dissuade Senor Trumpanzee from invoking martial law and instigating a coup). He thinks Powell and Flynn, along with Rudy Giuliani (Rudy attended via Zoom. Thanks a lot Zoom! Nice to know your part in this.) are right to push for a coup and the end of what's left of our democracy.

At this point, I'll point out that Sydney Powel is both Michael Flynn's lawyer and Donald Trump's lawyer. When she was Fake Fired a month ago, I said it was fake and it's now even more clear that she has never left Trump's side as it were. Powell has been the defense lawyer for Flynn in his cases involving Russia. Trump's own Russia issues are well known. Rudy Giuliani is Trump's personal lawyer. Giuliani has Russia legal problems of his own involving his connections to Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman. I just thought I'd include these ties that bind since no one in the mainstream media wants to point out something so obvious. Neither do any of our $enators or so-called representatives. So there you have it; Trump-Russia, Byrne-Russia, Powell-Russia, Flynn-Russia, Giuliani-Russia. Suffice to say, that you can bet the desires of Vladimir Putin were well represented in the meeting.

Anyway, here's Byrne's take on the meeting as he complained about members (mostly unnamed) of the White House staff who he thinks are trying to turn Trump against the idea of a coup:

My involvement is I was in the room when it happened...The raised voices included my own. I can promise you: President Trump is being terribly served by his advisers. They want him to lose and are lying to him. He is surrounded by mendacious mediocrities.

Yes, "mendacious mediocrities" who, maybe, still have tiny shreds of belief in that ol' "The people have spoken" semi-mythological thing. Also reportedly spotted in attendance at the coup planning meeting were some of the Republican Party's finest including Rep. Gym Shower Jordan, QAnon Rep-Elect. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Rep. Matt DWI Gaetz, Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks, and Louie Gohmert the pride of Texas. Mark Meadows, Trump's Chief of Staff, who is like Gaetz, a Flor-i-duh man, claimed the meeting was about "voter fraud," the elusive holy grail of republicans everywhere.

I hope the SDNY has something special for both Trump and Giuliani. I see Powell becoming a new FOX "News" legal expert. Ideally, she'd then be hauled off screaming while on air by either orderlies in white coats or Federal Marshals of some sort. Flynn could and should be called back to active duty so he can be court martialed and given the harshest sentence possible. Byrne? Just give him a nice sedition trial with all the trimmings. Same for those repug congresscretins in attendance.

Meanwhile, the entire Republican Party has apparently decided to continue to say and do nothing. They refuse to take a stand in defense of democracy. Why would they. It's not in their DNA. It obviously never crosses their treasonous minds. Instead, the Republican Party seems to view a Trump coup as their dream come true. Democrats? To date as I write this, I haven't heard a single Democrat call for treason trials. Once again, they are taking the approach that if they ignore it, it will go away and come back even worse in 25 years, or sooner. Such leadership!
