None Of The Other Candidates Want To Get Down In The Mud And Trade Insults With Trump

It Sure Didn't Work For Rubio When He Made Fun Of Trump's Small Dick

Last week, Trump told a crowd of ringers at his Detroit show that he didn’t see any potential vice presidents on the GOP debate stage. He then went on to call another one of his former Cabinet members a “bird brain.” Call me crazy, but I think if Trump keeps insulting his Republican rivals for the GOP nomination, he should get up on the stage and debate them. Nikki Haley may indeed be a bird brain, but she comes to these things well prepared and he’s probably petrified to go up against her. So instead, she claims, his campaign left the bird cage and some bird food in front of her door.

Brutal: “MAGA, or I, will never go for Birdbrain Nikki Haley. No loyalty, plenty of lies! ‘I will never run against our great President,’ she said,’he has done an outstanding job.’ To which I responded, ‘How nice of you to say, Nikki,’ knowing full well that her words mean nothing. She even came to Mar-a-Lago with her family, ‘bearing gifts.’ Anyway, Birdbrain doesn’t have the TALENT or TEMPERAMENT to do the job. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Notoriously thin-skinned, Trump’s freakout came after Haley mildly criticized one of his policy decisions on trade with China, not even mentioning that the Chinese government was enriching Ivanka by granting her business several valuable trademarks.

Or maybe he freaked out because of this: a reputable poll in New Hampshire shows her in second place among likely GOP primary voters and shows that 37% of those voters gave her with a 37% net favorability, compared to his 32%. “She is now the leading alternative to Trump, besting former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie on the ballot test among respondents who have an unfavorable impression of the former president. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has seen his support decline by 18 points since March and now trails Haley with 11%, slightly ahead of former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (10%). Just 11% of respondents with a favorable opinion of Trump select DeSantis on the ballot test, along with 12% that have an unfavorable opinion of Trump, suggesting that he doesn’t appeal to either group strongly enough to have maintained his early status as Trump’s strongest challenger.”

This afternoon, the NY Post referred to Trump’s new nickname for Haley as bullying and noted that the Donald is “losing his once-fearsome nicknaming powers. ‘Low Energy Jeb’ Bush was an instant classic, and cruelly accurate about Bush’s limp public persona… [T]he peeved-grandma tone of ‘Birdbrain’ proves he’s slipping.”

Now for the important part of this post. In 1981 Allen Ginsberg recorded this version— there were others— of "Birdbrain" where, no doubt, Trump got his inspiration for the nickname. Enjoy:

Is it that the candidates don't want to engage trump in the mud? Or is it that they all know that doing so, even if they get the better of him, won't matter to the nazis who vote?

Clearly trump won't "debate" out of fear he'll step in his own mouth. But I'm quite sure the rest are just as glad because there really is no way to win when all voters are insane trump worshippers.

Winning "debates" has not been the point of nazi party campaigning for decades. The whole point is to appeal to nazi voters as the worst human being in the ring while alienating the fewest possible non-nazi voters.

There are maybe 25 million non-nazi voters…
