No! … A Resurgence Of Scurvy Is Not Really An Issue In Today’s U.K. Elections— Is It?

And Trumpist Ally Nigel Farage's Party Will Be Lucky To Win 3 Seats

With much of the rest of the world frustrated and desperately, angrily turning towards fascism— from Italy, Holland, Finland, Sweden, France, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland to the good old U.S., Israel and India— Britain appears to be the outlier. Today they are going to kick the Conservatives out of power and turn towards the ever so slightly left of center Labour Party.

Jonathan Pie summed up all that’s wrong with Conservative governance pretty damn well— scurvy included— and I wish we had someone just like him here. Watch; this it’s amazing.

He’s not a big fan of Labour either— no more than most of us are fans of our own shitty center-“left” party here. He explains he “never voted for Tony Blair because… I hated him. From day one I could see that he was a disingenuous grinning Cheshire swat who hoodwinked a nation into thinking a centrist warmonger could speak the magnate of ordinary, hardworking people. ‘She was the peoples’ princess. So now let’s, in her memory, lock and load and go and kill some Iraqi women and children.’ I just dabbled with the Lib-Dems until Blair was gone.”

Today, he’s amazed at how big a piece of shit Starmer is— and that was before Murdoch-owned right-wing tabloid, The Sun, switched their support from the Conservatives to Labour! The editorial— fulsomely welcomed by Starmer, noted that “The insurmountable problem faced by the (Conservatives) is that— over the course of 14 often chaotic years— they have become a divided rabble, more interested in fighting themselves than running the country. There are still plenty of concerns about Labour... But, by dragging his party back to the centre ground of British politics for the first time since Tony Blair was in No. 10, Sir Keir has won the right to take charge.” The Sunday Times, the Daily Mirror and the Financial Times agree, while the Daily Mail and Daily Telegraph don’t seem to think Starmer is quite right-wing enough for them.

No one’s fool, Pie says “there is a simple choice to be had this election: vote the Tories out or don’t... But here’s the thing: winning isn’t enough. The Labour manifesto [platform] is dogshit! Gone is any trace of Labour being left-wing anymore. It’s champagne socialism minus the socialism… What is your moral mission? Just give me a little bit of blood in my cock.”

The most recent polling indicates an absolutely massive rejection of the Conservatives, which will likely result in Labour winning far more seats than anyone thought they would when Sunak called the snap election. According to the final YouGov poll yesterday, Labour could win as many as 431 seats (of the 650 constituencies), although that seems extreme. The model YouGov used also translates to just 102 seats for the Conservatives, 72 for the Lib-Dems, 18 for the Scottish party, 3 for the Welch party, 3 for the fascists (Reform UK) and 2 for the Greens.

Watching this? If they win Basildon, a longtime and very solid Conservative stronghold where Depeche Mode is from— and which will be one of the first constituencies to report (depeche)— it will be an indication that the Conservatives are going right down the drain... with Labour actually winning over 400 seats. At this point, even Sunak is supposedly fearful of losing his own Yorkshire seat, which would make him the first sitting prime minister to be voted out of his constituency ever. The Guardian reported that he’s “weighing a return to the financial services industry, whether or not he stays on as an MP.” He denied that and also denied he’s contemplating moving to California.
