Your Saturday Cartoon
by Noah
As you might have noticed by now, I love political cartoons. Pictures worth a thousand words and all that. When Kissinger finally did the world a favor and left it before he could create even more damage, I was trying to remember where I had seen a specific cartoon that showed him in all his excruciating evil. I remembered the birthday cake with all its bloody icing but I just couldn't place it.
Leave it to The Daily Cartoonist to come through! They reran it a few days ago under the heading of "Kissinger In The Rear View Mirror." Yes, he is now in the past but his criminality will flow down through the coming ages just like that blood dripping down the sides of his birthday cake as depicted on the cover of The Nation this past summer. I'm glad he got to see it which he no doubt did. No doubt he was sick enough to be proud of it, too, in the same way that Hannibal Lecter would be proud of his recipes.
All the cartoons collected there are worth a look:

But his legacy "lives" on. This shithole just vetoed a toothless plea from the UN for a cease fire in Gaza.
In america, one evil man may die but he/it is always replaced by greater evil. sometimes, as in trump, the greater evil will take the place of itself.
Has humankind ever replaced evil with actual good? Without war? I guess when we elected FDR. not since. not next year.
