Are you really so naive that you still think the ongoing destruction we're being afflicted with is solely due to stupidity? It should be obvious. This much damage and this many psychopathic abuses of humanity can only be the result of the planning of a psychopath or a team of psychopaths. I've always said, for over 50 years now, that the Republican Party is all about finding opportunities to increase human misery and death. If the main perps involved in bringing that about are able to steal vast amounts of taxpayer money while doing that, republican voters will cheer that. That's some mighty self-hatred there!
Latest case in point about all this: Co-Presidents Musk & Trump didn't just fire our goodwill ambassadors that bring needed food and medicines to children. They Didn't just fire cancer researchers and fire CDC people fighting the turning of Bird Flu into a human pandemic. They didn't just fire people whose job it is to prevent plane crashes. They didn't just steal our Social Security numbers and do God knows what with them. They haven't just opened up our nation's most closely held national security information to our adversaries and their obvious masters, they have fired the very people that oversee the safety and protection of our nuclear arsenal. Has any of it disappeared yet? Are they selling it? How many of the bad guys now have launch codes?
Maybe you could say one of the things I just listed was due to stupidity or even accidental, but all of this together isn't stupidity, it's a pattern of bad, very bad, deliberate behavior and it's all blatantly approved by those in Congress who endorse it with their confirmation votes and tacitly approved by bank-owned idiots like Schumer and Jeffries who think they can work with people like that. You cannot find common ground with psychopaths unless you are one, too. Do you really think all this is just about finding the cash to pay for 4 and a half trillion dollars to pay for tax cuts for corporations and billionaire scumbags who own Congress? I just heard a clownish Senator named Chris Van Hollin try to fool us into thinking that's all it is. No. For a psychopath, like those we have running things, that's only a funding mechanism for future mayhem and a side benefit of watching people needlessly die.
The sooner we find some ways to crush these people like the diseased cockroaches they are, the better. The dinosaurs didn't have a choice or a chance. We do. A book could already be written about what Trump, Musk, and all their allies in Congress and their administration are doing for our adversaries and maybe those books will be written down the road but I wouldn't count on it if publishers all go the way of The Washington Post, FOX-Pravda, and seemingly every corporation in this country that rushes to bend the knee to the Nazi element. Keep in mind that, even before the Orange Menace To Society took over, we had plenty of uber sadistic health insurance CEOs.
There's no time or space to list all the damage being done but there are still places on social media that provide information. Today, I will stick with some details of just one aspect of the attacks being waged on America from the oval office and those who control it. Below is a nicely compiled list (only partial) of what is going on in the war against our nation's farmers that I found on the ND Rural Life substack of Georgia Lee Smith. Tariffs, DOGE, and the USAID shutdown, just for starters. Soon, it won't be just eggs that become ridiculously expensive. Everything that comes from an American farm will be. Intolerable amounts of farms will go out of business and Scumbag Billionaires like Trump, Musk, Bezos, Theil, The Mercers, et. al. will buy up their land for pennies on the dollar at desperate auctions. You can already hear the laughter from Moscow and Beijing, not to mention the oval office and the homes of lowlife traitors like John Roberts and Mitch McConnell. What's your cut, boys??!!??
*Cotton and grain growers are losing contracts to long-time Canadian buyers because, even with the tariff pause, Canadian buyers don't trust the stability of U.S. export commerce with Trump in office. Plus, Canadians are just flat-out pissed and avoiding U.S. made/produced goods, including farm products.
* Chuck Grassley, of all people, is pleading with Trump to exempt potash from any Canadian tariffs because U.S. potash (a major fertilizer in agriculture) mainly comes from Canada. Impending tariffs will shoot farmers' fertilizer prices sky-high.
* Corn and soybean farmers are upset because Trump cancelled all of Biden's Climate Smart grants that were supposed to help them offset their adoption of soil health improving new practices like no-till and cover cropping.
* USAID's cancellation cuts $2 billion straight out of U.S. farmer's pockets from the Food for Peace program which purchased rice, wheat, corn and soy from U.S. farmers and distributed them to hungry nations. In some states and for some crops, USAID was their primary buyer.
* USDA NRCS is cancelling conservation contracts and leaving farmers holding the bag. These are things like fence improvements and upgraded water lines that boost farmer efficiency while also conserving the environment. Plus, the way they work is the farmer has to do the work first, then once they are done, the NRCS reimburses them. So now farmers that have spent the money to do the work are being told the NRCS won't honor their contracts.
* California farmers are PISSED because his "turn on the taps" PR move did nothing to combat California wildfires and instead wasted 2 BILLION gallons of water being held in reservoirs for summer irrigation.
* U.S. crop farmers are freaked out over the trade wars since Canada, China and Mexico represent half - let me repeat that again, HALF, of all U.S. agricultural exports!
* Per Trump's freeze on financial contracts, the USDA is withholding funds for the Organic Market Development Grant program and the Transition to Organic Partnership Program, which typically go directly to organic farmers or to non-profits supporting organic farmers.
* The shutdown of USAID has been trickling down through multiple ag-focused agencies, including the Soybean Innovation Labs, which were hosted at land-grant universities across the U.S.. These research labs focused on developing new genetics and growing practices in soybeans critical to U.S. and international growers. They had to close the entire program, laying off 30 scientists and researchers in 19 labs across 17 states.
* K State University lost up to $50 million that was pledged through a USAID Program over the next five years to advance research in “sustainable intensification,” an approach focused on increasing crop yields without expanding agricultural land use, expected to directly benefit Kansas (and U.S.) farmers.
* China's retaliatory tariffs (although not yet on crops, we shall see) are expected to have a major impact on U.S. ag machinery manufacturers, who were already struggling and have had massive lay-offs over the last 12 months. China imported almost $800 million of U.S.-manufactured ag machinery in 2020.
There's plenty here to peruse. The list is growing by the day. By the time you read it, it will have no doubt quintupled at the least. Again, when so many things like this are being done in this war against America, it's not stupidity. You don't just flush 2,000,000,000 gallons of water meant for farms into the Pacific without knowing the consequences. It's not an accident. It's a strategy of deliberate destruction being led by a total madman, his bosses and his cohorts.
