I put the above thought in simple black and white because the issue is black or white. Either you believe in a woman's right to choose or you do not. Either you want power over all the women you see on a given day or you don't. Either you can live with having a woman, maybe even one that you know, die from a septic pregnancy or some other pregnancy related health issue that could have been fixed or you can't. Where you stand on such things says all I need to know about what you are as a person. The rest is just distraction and obfuscation. The issue of a woman's right to choose is one of voting for decency as opposed to misery, and god knows, Republicans will always choose misery and death. There is no doubt that they grade each other based on that standard. They prove it with their words. They prove it with their voting records. They are so grotesque that they will go on national prime time TV and proclaim it with great fanfare for all the world to see.
So, here we are. The Republican "justices" in Arizona's state "Supreme" Court have spoken. They have gone back in time like all republicans always want to go back in time, but, in this case it's not just the Nixonian "Father Knows Best" 1950s. It's the Civil War era 1860s, a time when Arizona wasn't even a state. They didn't look ahead to ban abortion. They went back in time. They went back 160 years ago and backed an inhumane law from then. This is who and what Republicans are and apparently always will be. It's almost darkly comical that they can see the blowback from this week's decision, a decision they worked for all their lives and now say, "B-b-b-but, that's not what I m-m-meant when, for years, I called for a total abortion ban! That's not what I m-m-meant! So unfair!!!" Then, like even former television airhead and now AZ Repug Senate candidate Kari Lake, they half-heartedly try to walk back everything they've based their candidacies on. Of course, as soon as any of them get elected, they'll go right back to pushing for total abortion bans everywhere, and I mean everywhere.
Republicans don't seem to realize how phony and nihilistic it seems to normal people when they try to take back such extreme things they say and do. They can try to convince enough voters that they were never opposed to a state or national abortion ban but they said what they said and they did what they did, like, you know, when they voted for those "justices" or even like when they cheered for the cop killers that stormed the U.S. Capitol.
So yeah, I now think it would be grand if people like "Ted" Cruz died with a hanger, hopefully a rusty one, stuck up their penis. What about Moscow Mitch you ask, the Putin Goon who did his boy Traitor Don's bidding and made sure the "Supreme" Court of the whole damn country would move to do away with Roe? He deserves a coathanger in every orifice he has, Samuel Alito, too. I'd yank them by that coathanger, hitch it to a truck and drive on down the road to a better place. Does thinking that make me a bad person? If you think so, I just might have a coathanger with your name on it. Zero tolerance.
The below illustrates that if voters had elected a progressive party that actually cared about women enough to codify their rights to body autonomy, and who would remove judges who reach such misanthropic decisions, this meme would not be necessary.
There are two components to every single evil that has been destroying this shithole since the mid '60s:
the evil that always exists in the nazi minority
the non-nazi majority doing nothing.
#2 is all you folks who, instead of fixing anything, keep trying to elect your hapless worthless feckless corrupt neoliberal fascist pussy democraps.
Fixing #2 is your first step in fixing the shithole. take that step and see where the rest of the journey takes you. Keep refusi…
The childish both sides-ism of the commenter below is no solution at all which is exactly why comments like it are made. The person making the comment knows this. The DVA military policy allowing abortions has now become permanent as of April 3. Offering abortion services on Native American reservations is far more complicated as a little research instead of laziness would point out but it would first take tribes themselves being in favor and with the way tribal lands are set up, private funding, not just the desire, would be required. The states where the reservations are located also factor in. As an attorney colleague has told me, the states and the tribes themselves fear the chaos that would…
If it's cut and dry with Biden how come he hasn't done anything in this term? He could issue executive orders on this! Add extra justices or allow the procedure on military bases & indian reservations, but he does nothing!
