An Antidote For The Usual GOP 'Alternative' Factoids!
by Noah
Ever since psychopathic Traitor Trump went to Arlington Cemetery the other day to piss on some graves of the fallen, his party members have been trying to defend his actions, which included using a grave for the filming of a campaign commercial, by saying the whole reason the U.S. Marine in the grave was killed was because President Biden was to blame. It's the latest example of simpleton Repugs reducing a not so simple issue to a Joe Biden "I did that" moment. Anyway, you can't talk to these people but, when they blame the deaths of the 13 American soldiers who died in our withdraw from Afghanistan on Joe Biden, I suppose you could show them the above meme. It won't have much effect, but go ahead, knock yourself out. Any Republican you have the misfortune to know is a totally brainwashed cultist. They are never coming back to Earth 1. Physical or not, brainworms are real.
All that said, I think the next time I'm in the presence of a Republican, I will propose that, rather than a recitation of The Pledge Of Allegiance or The Lord's Prayer in school every morning, perhaps the school kids should be led in a recitation of the above list of facts regarding the Afghanistan withdrawal. Imagine the consternation if kids from Nazi-loving families come home and tell their parental units! Too much, you say? Well, ok then, how about instead of The Ten Commandments being nailed up on the wall, we just make a plaque out of the meme and put that up there? Seems reasonable to me!!!
The mainstream media has fallen far. There’s so much The NY Times and the WPost could be found to broadcast important facts. But no. Good thing there’s DWT to read!!!
Your exhortation to "pay attention to facts (truth), not bullshit" is salient.
Americans have all seemed to forget. Or maybe they just can't tell one from the other.
If you want a sure recipe for a shithole, it is that.
The meme has crucial information that most nonpartisan voters remain unaware of…and that is the fault of three plus years of Biden’s ‘look forward/not back’ approach to messaging. So far, Harris seems to be taking the same approach—and I’m hoping she is laying an ambush for the debates….
