The National Football League has zero sense of irony and no sensitivity whatsoever. How do we know this? How about, "Like a good neighbor, State Farm and the NFL are there to rub the ashes of your home in your face." When faced with the need to move Monday night's playoff game between the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings out of Los Angeles due to the horrific wildfires, league commissioner Roger Goodell got together with his committee of "We don't give a shit" billionaire owners and moved the game to State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals. State Farm as in the State Farm Insurance Company; you know the kind of people who cancel fire insurance policies that customers have paid good money for. They could have moved the game to Levi's Stadium where the 49rs play in San Francisco, Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, home of the San Diego Chargers, or even Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas where the Raiders play. All of those stadium choices were just as reasonably close by and but no, league commissioner Roger Goodell and his crack team of billionaires, including some asswipe named Bidwell who owns the Arizona team summoned their maximum insensitivity and decided that State Farm Stadium had a nice ring to it. Hence the meme you see above. What else would we expect from a gaggle of greedy billionaires? Why it's almost beginning to look like being an asshole is an asset if you wanna be a billionaire! You can certainly expect that money pushes decency aside and rules all decisions with just about any of them, save the ex-wife of Amazon's Jeff Bezos or Microsoft's Bill Gates, but it seems that once you get a few billion in your pockets, you just don't give a damn about anybody. You think Elon Musk is the only one who is insane?
It depends on which stadium did not have anything else booked for that date. There are several college stadia that also could have been considered.
It would be nigh impossible to fine a corporate-monikered stadium that did not connote something awful... like where do they actually make Levis products ... and by kids?
But this one was particularly bad... except the media has refused to make a "thing" out of the (un)timely cancelling of policies. One might think that media, reliant on advert $$ from state farm, is plainly acting in their own self-interest at the cost of keeping americans dumber than shit.
nah. that can't be true. not here!!
