For Some, It Is Code

"We have to live with these animals. But we won't live with them for long."
-Donald Trump, the idol of the 74,000,000 who chose him to represent their darkest desires.
Aurora, Colorado, October 12, 2024.
What you see in the above meme is straight out of Trump's Project 2025 Mein Kampf. It's the basics of his skin-tone based immigration policy. He's been screaming about it in darker and darker speeches to his cheering followers and his poll numbers are going up. It's the kind of talk that those in the party formerly known as the Republican Party (Now MAGA Party) are attracted to. It's gotten some news coverage but nowhere near enough. The media hacks aren't calling it what it is. The word complicit comes to mind. When I combine those facts with the fact that the polls show The Orange Hitler tied with Vice President Harris, there is only one conclusion for me to logically come to and that is that his 70 million or so voters share his bigoted feelings. This is not new. It's the kind of thing, number one on the list in fact, that attracts his voters to him, along with all the other things I've mentioned in previous posts. Officially or unofficially, the voters who used to identify as Republicans now identify as MAGA. Who they vote for and what they vote for is telling the tale. They may claim that they aren't racists. The thing is, though, they are letting us know with their votes that they can live with their party's racism and live with it no matter how bad it gets. Guess what? If you are so lacking in morality that you "can live with racism," you are a racist. Period. That's not really a surprise, of course. The now named MAGA Party has run on racism since Nixon declared his candidacy in 1968; Southern Strategy and all that.
What Trump is saying about rounding up immigrants is obviously total Hitler-speak. He knows it. It's designed that way. In the above meme, we should pay special attention to the last word, "deportation." Trump knows really bad people like himself will always go to the next step. It's what people do. You know this, and so do his eager followers. Anyone who knows people, history, and the nature of evil knows. All that's missing is the date it starts for real. The people of Poland didn't care where their neighbors were being "deported" to. They just hated them, feared them, and wanted them gone. That's the corollary of today. Think of that the next time you hear the people who used to be called Republicans tell you they're voting for Trump or just staying home and letting it all unfold.
Here's Ellie Quinlan Houghtaling, writing about Trump's speech in Aurora, Colorado this past Saturday in the New Republic. She has edited the rambling out but fortunately left in the moment I referred to where one of Trump's fans spoke for all in attendance and openly called for murder and was cheered for it.
Donald Trump has once again evoked Nazi rhetoric. At a rally in Aurora, Colorado, on Friday, the Republican presidential nominee weaponized violent and dehumanizing language to describe immigrants, referring to them as the "enemy from within" while advocating for harsher criminal punishments for the vulnerable demographic, including promising the death penalty.
"But I protect you from outside enemies. But you know I always say, we have the outside enemies, so you can say China, you can say Russia, you can say Kim Jong Un...if you have a smart president, it's no problem. It's the enemy within. All the scum we have to deal with that hate our country," he continues. "That's a bigger enemy than China and Russia...Everyday Americans like Cindy are living in fear all because Kamala Harris decided to empty the slums and prison cells of Caracas, and many other places. Happening all over the world."
That is, on its face, untrue. But according to Trump, that (falsely means crime is down in the rest of the world as a result.
"Every country, you know, prison populations all over the world are down. Because they take the world's criminals, gang members drug dealers, and they deposit them into the United States. Bus after bus after bus," Trump said to a cacophony of boos from the crowd of his supporters.
The world's prison poul;ation has, statistically gone up by more than 25% since the year 2000, according to data from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
"They took the criminals out of Caracas, and they put them along your border, and they said if you ever come back, we're going to kill you," Trump said.
"Think of that!" he continued. "We have to live with these animals. But we won't live with them for long!
At that, one person in the crowd shouted, "Kill them!"
