There is no sentence for Steve Bannon or any of his comrades that can ever be enough.
Believe it or not, there was a time when a lowlife like Steve Bannon would be sitting in the Congressional jail for defying a congressional subpoena. Instead, he has been indicted but set free without even bail. No bail. Not one nickel. Not even a nice tight ankle bracelet! People who accrue unpaid parking tickets in Washington often spend time in jail. God help you if you're driving while black with a broken taillight on the beltway or anywhere else in this country. Being an architect of treason and spokesperson for the same in contempt of Congress? Kid gloves.
For his defiance of Congress, Bannon has been indicted on 2 counts of contempt. Each count is punishable by 1 year in jail and up to $100,000 in fines. Don't hold your breath waiting for even such a light sentence. Save that in case you ever encounter Steve Bannon in an elevator or if he ends up driving you somewhere in a cab on a hot Washington July day.
