Years ago, right after 9/11, a rightwing tool on CNN named Wolf Blitzer hammered home the nickname, "America's Mayor" that his then pal Rudy Giuliani seized on and embraced to the fullest. In fact, Blitzer is generally credited with coming up with the grotesque misnomer. Blitzer's marketing scheme was one of the more disgusting ass-kissing moments in television history, and, because people are too damn dumb to know any better, it stuck. Marketing propaganda gone wrong, horribly wrong. I wonder what the idiots at CNN, which I finally gave up on in 2004 when they were so blatantly in the tank with Dubya, thought when they saw their Republican Icon Boy oozing black goo from his head two decades later. Or, how about when he was leaning on his pathetic porta-podium in front of "the Four Seasons" next to a dildo store. "There's our boy! America's Mayor!"
Here's the complete quote that's cited in tonight's meme:
Putin decides what he wants to do, and he does it in half a day, right? He decided he had to go to their parliament. He went to their parliament, he got permission in 15 minutes. He makes a decision and he executes it quickly. And then everybody reacts. That's what you call a leader!
The fruits of autocratic thinking. How's all that workin' for ya, Rudy? I'm sure it fills you with pride. I even bet you know how to say it in Russian. And, please, spare us the "crisis actor" claims about those people (of all ages) being executed and gangbanged in the streets of Ukraine by your Russian pals that so many of your Republican fellow travelers are making. Tell ya what, Rudy, just go back to whatever dark basement hole you crawled out of and ooze yourself to death, quickly.
key phrase that 'splains every ill: "because people are too damn dumb to know any better"
