by Noah Before there were bots, there were ventriloquist dummies, little wooden or plastic puppet people that could be made to say whatever words their owner required or desired of them. These ventriloquist dummies were staples of variety and vaudeville shows for centuries but they were eventually cast in malevolent roles in horror movies and TV science fiction shows. For example, there is Hugo in the suspenseful 1964 British horror classic Devil Doll and there is Willie in the Twilight Zone episode simply titled "The Dummy." I mention both of these because they are not only among my favorites but because (spoiler alert), at the end of both, the real human and the dummy have switched places and he who was the dummy is now calling the shots. Sound familiar? Sure, but the House Of Representatives is now going that one better; dummies who have dummies. Layers upon layers: You would be hard pressed to find a Republican politician who is not a puppet of Traitor Don Trump (and we know who's dummy he is). They've shown that every hour of every day since the 2020 election, and, really, long before that. It was evident on that recent horrid night of infamy last week when Kremlin Kev was made Speaker Of The House. That was when we saw that Traitor Don was phoning right into the Republican treason caucus, right on live television, right during the voting, and that will obviously continue as Republicans continue their rolling coup against what's left of democracy and the ideas and ideals of America itself. Now that Kremlin Kev has so eagerly given up so much power to the very most traitorous among us, they will be calling the shots more than ever. They have set up a "my way or the highway" directive aimed squarely at the new Speaker and straight through to us. It will be strictly "Yes Mr. Gaetz! It shall be done Mr. Gaetz! What else can I do for you and your friends, Mr. Gaetz?" And it won't be just Matt Gaetz. I need not mention the others here. You know them. You know their names. McCarthy is the Speaker but the words are coming from elsewhere. The irony is, of course, that ol' Kremlin Kev hardly disagrees with them anyway. He just feels compelled to occasionally put up a front for some reason. Our enemies are laughing. The idea of democracy is being trashed. Now think of this: "George Santos," a congressman with a highly suspicious past, a man who is wanted by Brazil, will now sit in Congress with access to our most sensitive intelligence and Top Secret information. What could go wrong?
