All of these indictments are great but indictments alone will never bring enough satisfaction. I can dream of firing squads all I want but of course the reality is that there will be the deliberate delay strategy of endless appeals every time a jury might hit the Orange Menace To Society with a verdict of guilty. That will happen no matter what the charge. The Diaper Don has been walking around as a free man for way, way, way too long.
We need to get used to the idea that, barring some sort of deus ex machina speed up of the appeals process, there will probably be enough appeals that will enable Traitor Don Trump to keep out of jail for the rest of his life, assuming of course that he has, say, roughly 8 years of life and inflicting pain on this world left. Maybe the idea that Trump might outlive the appeals process is a good enough reason to hope that he lives to 100 just so we can watch him waste away and die in jail. Seeing Trump in jail and hearing reports of fellow inmates regularly breaking his bones and knocking his teeth out would be very cathartic indeed. I'd practically run for Congress just so I could show Marjorie Traitor Greene the pictures.
Yes, the whole process will likely take years and the Orange Menace will still be holding his mini-Nuremberg Orange Power Salute "rallies" because, as we have always seen and always will see, the nature of republicans will always be to rally around their dear beloved Hitler wannabe. We've seen that with every election starting in 2016 and frankly Trump's biggest feat was that he stripped away all the pretense and more clearly showed what being a republican has always been, since at least 1968, to anyone with even half a brain.
Trump is the embodiment of the Republican dream of the end of democracy and the installment of a reich. Never forget that fact. Yesterday's package of coup indictments is full of quotes from Traitor Don's own people who served his heinous administration. Those quotes are a mountain of evidence that demonstrates Trump's guilt in all of this. The quotes in the indictment papers even demonstrate that he knew he had lost and yet he not only persisted, he and some of his closest advisors, like Jeffrey Clark, endorsed the 1/6 violence and were eagerly prepared to incite more and put the U.S. Army in the streets all across the nation in order to quell any protesting of their chosen one establishing the Republican dream of a dictatorial reich.
As I write this on Wednesday morning, there has been no Republican Party rush to the cameras and microphones to finally condemn their Dear Leader. You didn't really think there would be, did you? The Nazi half of the House and Senate said what is in their charred little hearts when they voted to keep their one true love in power after not just one but two impeachments, one of which came after their violent attempted coup. Last night, over at FOX-Goebbels, they were still spewing the line that the indictments of Dear Leader were "indictments of free speech" and "the criminalizing of free speech." Right, to FOX, blowtorching the Constitution and burning the country to the ground is all just free speech.
Next up, Georgia! My indictment scorecard awaits! So come on Fani Willis. Pile it on. Smother Traitor Don with more. And let's not forget all of Trump's accomplices, all 74,000,000 of them who voted for him knowing what their false idol was and is. Like both houses of Congress, they did it more than once and that's what they voted for them for. Unfortunately, we can't arrest them all, but even the little things can send a message. And, dear Democrats, don't even think of pardons of any kind for any of this endless parade of Nazi scum. None of this Joe Biden insanity of reaching out a hand across the aisle. Really? To Tommy Tuberville? To Moscow Mitch? This country has already suffered enough from what Gerald Ford did for Nixon. You know I always say that Washington takes care of its own.
And just one more thought for now: Every minute of every one of any upcoming Trump trials absolutely must be televised and televised live in their entirety. No excuses. None. They broadcast all his speeches and rallies in 2016 and got him elected so they can do this. Any network that doesn't do this is guilty of being a Trump/Republican Party accomplice. Same goes for any so-called judge (like Nazi fluffer John Roberts) who blocks the trials or any portions of them from appearing live on our TVs or being streamed on any device. We all know the networks need fresh programming due to the writers and actors strikes so there's no excuse not to. The trials can be a godsend to them. Now watch them run endless "Real Housewives" and "The Apprentice" reruns, along with incessant old episodes of "Naked and Afraid," "Joanie Loves Chachi," and even a nightmare of "Sing Along With Mitch Miller" back to back to back reruns rather than do what's right and patriotic.
you clearly did not comprehend what you might have skimmed over. I was patting Noah on the back. While he is the only one here who has used 'Nazi', I can't remember him using 'reich' before. rarely if he has.
I'm guessing, hatewatt, but I must be a dream for you -- someone you can reflexively hate, thus helping your self esteem.
You're not one of my nightmares. I've been putting up with your kind for a really long time. like flies. Soon, you flies will rule the shithole. Nothing I could do about it. But it does prove that if you let the flies rule, they'll make everything into their favorite substance -- shit.
Guestcrapper, He's been saying publicly it since the Nixon years. You invented nothing. The difference is he would never try to pat himself on the back about it.
Thank you, Noah. You are now saying what I've been saying for years, using the proper nouns that apply: Nazi. Reich. etc.
Will you wait until 2.5 years after your "dreams" are squelched to condemn the party and voters who have squelched them so far?
one thing: no bag over head. I wanna see the look on his fat face as the man says "FIRE!" THAT is my dream.
note: I'm old. so far, NONE of my good dreams have come true. plenty of my nightmares have.
