It's natural to have lots of questions about Putin's White House people having what is euphemistically being called a "mistake" and a "security lapse" but only a fool would believe the open chat about a war plan is anything but deliberate. All one has to do to put this incident in proper context is to remember how many Top Secret documents Traitor Trump stole as he left office after his first term, how he publicly sided with his pal/handler Vlad Putin over our intelligence people during their meeting in Helsinki, and how he refused to have a secure phone from day one of his first presidency. A one off mistake is not a mistake when it's part of a pattern and patterns this serious are not mistakes. They are deliberate. The only reason to have no security walls is that you want certain people to have complete, unfettered access to our state secrets, and you can bet that our adversaries know everything the members of the Trump team are up to every minute of the day. It's all on their phones, hacked phones no doubt, filled with state of the art spyware that can listen in on everything.
Sure, our pilots could have been shot down as they approached Yemen. We're very lucky and they were more so. Can you come up with a list of Republicans who would give a damn if some of our pilots, even one, had been blown out of the sky? I can't and even if a couple of them pull a Susan Collins and insincerely say "I'm concerned," history now tells us never to believe them. They do support taking benefits away from our military veterans and they have no problem at all with their Dear Leader, the man they worship and grovel before, calling our military people suckers and losers. We know how they feel; every damn one of them. Lots of us are now joking about getting the nuclear codes via text but now ask yourself how far-fetched it is to suspect that our adversaries in Russia, China, or North Korea already have them due to the non existent security of the Traitor Trump crew? Maybe, if we're very lucky (unlikely), the folks at the Pentagon have, in an attempt to keep up, changed not just the codes but all sorts of things several times, but, maybe they haven't and, it's a no-brainer that, since Hegseth took over, no one has been staying on top of this extremely deadly problem.
Oh, and one last question, how drunk was Hegseth on that phone call?
4barts, What you say below is all true. What Trump did with the U.S. copy of the meeting notes in Helsinki told us that but what Noah is saying is that it goes beyond that and it has. We all know that Trump and the people he put in place have gone over to the other side. Destroying or not creating records of calls and meetings is basic to the criminal profile and you can bet that countries all over the world have intelligence people who have worked up psychological profiles on the people in this or any United States administration. We do that too and we have people in our intelligence communities that create profiles on our own people.…
Another no brainer: right after he took office, T must have immediately demanded that his cabinet members and other high up staff communicate only on off government platforms to avoid any documentation of their communications. Remember the first impeachment for his “perfect” phone call to Zelenskyy? Remember he never writes anything down to avoid records?
HE IS BEHIND ALL OF THIS. Just like the January 6 debacle. There is ZERO way Signal was used without his explicit command and direct knowledge.
