Do you ever wonder if there's a Swiss bank account with Judge Aileen Canon's name on it? Maybe one that uses a pseudonym or some sort of dummy corporation? I do for the simple reason that if we as a species are capable of any learning from recent history at all, we should be watching our judges a hell of a lot more closely and we should be doing it on a very regular basis. Those who want to be judges should get used to it. Someone should already be doing these things but humans tend to be slow to act and then act surprised when something bad is revealed. If judges hang out in some billionaire's Hitler Garden or pretend to dress up as Mussolini at night, I wanna know. Fair is fair, right? Another question: Is it too late anyway? Maybe, but I want to know, regardless. And dragging our feet is what I call being a permissive society. Oh, and I'd also like to see what Judge Cannon's high school yearbook had to predict about her future, perhaps something along the lines of "Most likely to help usher in an American dictatorship?" Or, "Most likely to go from the federal bench to the federal penitentiary?" It's always so horrific that so much of this country's future rests on the shoulders of substandard people, especially ones that have already so blatantly dishonored themselves. Or, to put it another way: A chain is only as good as its weakest link(s).
Further illustrating the problem of refusing to enforce standards, laws and the, you know, foundation of your society.
Not having any actual standards is exactly the same as having them but refusing to enforce them.
Putting on a show of enforcing standards long after and/or just to make someone look bad as an election approaches is also the same thing as not having standards... but far more cynical.
And, of course as always, continuing to insist that this be so, as 99.3% of voters who vote always do, is... dumber than shit.
