Midnight Meme Of The Day! GOP & Manson: 51 Cards Short Of A Full Deck

Nixon was bad enough. So were the Bushes, Reagan and Gingrich

by Noah

I've been stating the obvious similarity between Republicans and the Manson family for decades now. Both the Republican Party and the Manson Family are 51 cards short of a full deck with the remaining card being one of the dumbest, most mentally impaired jokers you'd ever wanna meet. Both are also all about creating and or enabling mayhem, mass murder, conspiracy mongering, and whatever other forms of human misery and bigotry they can think up. Oh, and did I mention hoping to incite a race war? Like the GOP, the Manson creeps were all about that, too.

I fully realize that the naive among us might think that I am exaggerating or indulging in hyperbole to make a point but, if that is what they think, it makes me a bit sad but not at all surprised that a human being's vision can be so clouded, and, yeah, I know it can be more often than not. Trust me, there aren't half so many people out there that Republicans could accurately call woke as they "think." In fact, it might be that one of the very biggest fears republicans have is that this country might reach a tipping point of "wokeness" in numbers of its citizens who fully realize exactly what monsters republicans are. With a media that continues to foolishly treat Republicans like "normals," they needn't worry too much.

None so blind as those who will not see. I go through the day repeating that phrase to myself. I apply it to members of all parties to varying degrees, of course. The Democrats are way too timid to create anything other than a two steps forward, one and a half back kind of progress on their best days. It's an "enjoy the crumbs approach" and too many people are too willing to say thanks and leave it at that. The Republican Party, on the other hand, is made up of an endless stream of Nazi and white nationalist sociopaths and psychopaths. The proof is in who they nominate and elect. Third parties? Third parties always act like they're in a race to set new speed records for selling out. Then there's the party most beloved by "the money" and the powers that exert control over all other parties; that's right, The Non-Voting Party, perhaps the most deleterious of all, a party of cowards, those who either sit back or, if more of an exhibionist bent, stand in front of their picture windows and jerk off to the chaos.

So here we are: In just the past few months, a deranged semi-literate pro-Russia malcontent from California named Kevin McCarthy has taken the already existing pack of gibbering Squeaky Fromme goons that he was handed and turned the House of Representatives into an apt representation of Manson's Spahn Ranch complete with endless hearings that dwell on some of the most idiotic conspiracies the human mind can possibly come up with, not to mention wanting to collapse the world economy by not increasing the debt ceiling. For some, the world can never be a dark enough hellhole,

Oh and there's the fact that one of the first messages McCarthy sent out was a declaration that he fancied using his gavel on the head of the outgoing Speaker, Nancy Pelosi. The message was received loud and clear by an acolyte in San Francisco who promptly went looking for Ms. Pelosi in her home in the dead of night. He didn't find her but we all know what happened there and, only by luck, did Paul Pelosi avoid being carried out of his own home in a bloody body bag like Leno LaBianca or Sharon Tate. The fact that Manson had also hoped the murders his crew pulled off would cause a race war certainly does attach an aura of familiarity.

Then, more recently, the leader of the GOP cult, on Donald J. Trump, sent out a visual message of himself threatening the head of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg with a baseball bat and just last week, one of his nutjob minions took a bat to two staff members and a whole lot of computers in the district office of Democratic Rep. Gerry Connolly. In no way are the dots or intentions difficult to connect. This is the psychosis that 74,000,000 insane people voted for when they went to the polls in 2020. Every indication is that they'll do it again, too.

There will be more insanity. It's all but de rigueur now. If you doubt that, go back to the footage of all those red-hatted cop-killing white nationalists that sought to murder the Vice President, Speaker Pelosi, and others as they stormed the Capitol Building on 1/6/21, you know, the ones conservatives call heroes or tourists. Or, you could go take a look at the pictures of the federal building in Oklahoma City after a few similar white nationalists heeded the violent rhetoric they got from Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich in 1995. The victims included the children left in a day care center in the building. So much for republicans being pro-life. The proof is too often in the results, not just the words. By the way, repugs, have you purchased an AR-15 today? And, no, the one you purchased just last week doesn't count, no way. Manson would tell you that you better be prepared in case there's another James Hodgkinson out there somewhere, a James Hodgkinson of color. Even better, an Antifa one.

"There will be more insanity. It's all but de rigueur now."

you illustrated the old frog/boiling pot thing.

We are here now because nobody noticed that the water has been getting hotter since 1968. Or perhaps because everyone is too stupid to notice. Or perhaps because nobody gives a flying zeptofuck.

it really doesn't matter which one(S) are true. we're here. and it SHALL get worse. Because nobody will do "merrick garland" about it.

because of all the Squeaky Frommes empowering today's slate of Mansons... but also because y'all are relying on the team of lawyers who defended them all at trial instead of anyone who will do you or us collectively any good.

If the times call for heroes,…
