Imagine a country so insane that it puts up with this. One third of the so-called Supreme Court installed by Traitor Don and his seditionist pro-autocracy $enate accomplices under the direction of Putin asset Moscow Mitch. Even now, they whine and bitch that anyone would call their actions and the grotesque excuses for justices that they installed into question. To them, it is how dare we question their plans for a reich.
While we're all focused on the ongoing terror Putin is inflicting on Ukraine after so many in our midst encouraged him for years, let's not forget what is being inflicted on our own democracy at home in a blatant attempt to emulate everything Putin stands for. The only difference is that we have chosen death by a million cuts instead of death by artillery shells.
The noblest parts of our history are represented in the Amendments won in the Civil War, in the Suffrage movement, in the Civil Rights movement and Acts engendered thereby - won by the blood and will of the people. These moved us and our Constitution closer to the aspirations voiced in the Declaration of Independence. And we've enjoyed moments - the New Deal, min. wage, anti-trust, Social Security, Medicare - where domestic policy briefly aligned with the common good.

crapper guy, Looks you missed the pop culture context of "Imagine a country so insane that it puts up with this" that 90% of the English speaking world would get but it does stand on its own and either way, it strongly implies a country that doesn't vote against the problem while showing us the writer sees it that way and is exasperated about it. Therefore, it also looks like your forgivable English as a second language problem or a lack of reading comprehension has let you down again. Or was it just your chronic desperation to say something, anything just to be noticed?
