The baby's name was Trump. And they looked at him in all his orange countenance and to them he was good. No, better than good. He was their Orange Baby Jesus and they worship his every move. They even hold conventions where they bring golden likenesses of him. In Congress, they bow down before him and do his bidding. "No abortions? You got it oh great Orange Jesus!" "No more Ukraine? You got it." "Hitler quoting? Me likey!!! Whatever you and oh Great Putin want, Dear Leader."
Yeah, I know that there are some Republicans, some even in Congress who will lie to us and tell us they don't really like their Orange Jesus. But, the proof is in the reality that they voted to have an impeachment inquiry of Joe Biden at the behest of said Orange Jesus. The proof is in the fact that they quietly left town without giving the OK for money to help Ukraine fight their Russian patron(s). Before that, the proof was in the House unanimously voting for Trump's dream candidate, a known Trump lunatic for Speaker named MAGA Mike Johnson. Before that, there were two separate votes to not impeach or convict, their Orange Jesus, the first of which kept him in office so they could do more of each other's evil bidding.
After their Orange Jesus lost his reelection bid, he launched a violent coup attempt, aided by many of their own number, all but two of them refused to participate in any investigation of it. The two that did? They are forever blackballed by the party. Those who remain say the whole thing never happened anyway. That's right, they'll tell you to your face that no cops lost their lives, no eyeballs were gouged out, no bones were broken, and the whole thing was just a tourist visit, as if tourists always bring their shit to smear on the walls; well, maybe the Republican ones do. There's much more than that, like the freakout over the Colorado Supreme Court ruling against their Orange Baby Jesus being, at least temporarily, kicked off the ballot, or their incessant defense of their Orange Baby Jesus quoting Hitler (what Republicans call the best words), but the point has been made. And now, they have built a new religion, bizarro world style, around their Traitor Don, their Orange Baby Jesus, their fellow traitors to this country.
Their Orange Baby Jesus even lost in 2020 and his party, politicians and voters alike, resurrected him. They rolled away the stone and he's their number one candidate for the coming 2024 election. Even his rivals for the nomination say nothing against him. Why would they? They know he is more loved by the Republican voters than they are. They wouldn't want to hurt his chances if/when they fail. They'll want his backing, too. He is them and they are he. Ramaswarmy is quite a case in point. "Nikki" Haley? She's just Trump with a better makeup consultant and she hides her evil a little better. Ron DeSantis? He's Ron DeSantis.

The nazi religion existed first. Until 1968, it was fairly well suppressed because there were far more non-nazis. But in '68, they got their first big national win with nixon.
