Are you tired of all these attacks on DEI yet? Better get used to it. These attacks are totally in the typical boiling GOP bloodstream now and, to the Repugs, no attack usage is inappropriate. In fact, disasters are seen as opportunities! Such very fine people!!!
Bigotry of all kinds has always been a qualification to join the GOP but now it's even more openly displayed and celebrated. It's time to call the use of the DEI acronym what it is within the Republican lexicon. You can hear what it means to them in the way they use it and the way they spit it out when they talk about DEI people of all kinds. Sure, Republicans still freely use the N-Word among themselves. I heard it used just the other day (Monday) on a train as I was heading to upstate New York. Two Trump nuts in the seats in front of me were going on and on about what a great job they think Trump is doing and it was very noticeable how the N-Word was being used interchangeably with the DEI acronym. And yeah, words like homos, trans, and woke were regularly popping up in their conversation. It was like they were programmed robots. Imagine that!
I shoulda hit 'record' on my phone but I know the opportunity for that will come again, and again, and again. For the price of a train ticket, I was given a show on how republicans talk when they aren't aware that someone can hear them. What I witnessed was a small point in the evolution of the Republicanese dialect. Soon, they won't give a damn if anyone hears them at all or not, in any setting. Until that happens they will use DEI only as something they see as socially acceptable code for the word they want to say. That's all part of the permission they feel Trump and his Mr. Apartheid South African sidekick have given them. It's getting all very out in public now. It's a way of announcing yourself, I suppose.
