Dementia Don VS. VP Kamala Harris
by Noah
A debate tonight? Maybe. Although, at the end, it might not be anything a reasonable person would call a debate but we will see. Hell, we'll see if The babbling Diaper Don even shows up. I even bet that a few Republicans (very few) would rather see their guy not show up at all or be replaced by cardboard stand-up, scented of course. Maybe we should hope he shows up but doesn't get violent. In any event, we are watching a man disintegrate mentally and physically before our very eyes, now at a faster and faster rate. Note to the media hacks: You might point this out, unless of course you want to go down in history as joined with Trump at the hip. Yeah, I know, you did so much to create him and hold him up as what you see as excellence but you were wrong in 2015 and before and you are now more wrong by the hour.
In any event, I hope ABC's lame-o moderators are better than Hannity was with last week's FOX Trump Town Hall that had zero real questions from the audience stooges and other Hannity sock puppets. How is that a Town Hall? It was just two retired, brain damaged circus chimps going on and on. The effort of them trying to form coherent sentences was exceeded only by the effort required to watch them.
Then, there's the execrable Dana Bash who mangled her interview with Vice President Harris a couple of weeks ago. Look, I know Bash is one of the Republican fronts on CNN, but her interview questions weren't just banal and lacking in substance. Bash saw the whole thing not as an opportunity to inform but an opportunity to get in the way of the alleged goal of the interview and aim it towards her goal. Bash's questions came across as nothing but Republican Party talking points slyly reworded as questions. Yeah, I know- shocking!!! This is how they always irresponsibly and treasonously put their sewage in a suit guy up in the polls and keep him there. Put Bash's performance in the context of that ridiculous puff piece interview CNN did with Trump himself and, well, there ya go. That's the context. Can ABC do better than such things as those? We'll see in a matter of a few hours. The bar couldn't be much lower. Nuremberg Trials for broadcasters are already called for.
I found this post interesting, especially the way it highlights the debate atmosphere and how media can shape public perception. It’s fascinating how every political discussion feels like a high-stakes coding interview, where every word or move is analyzed and dissected. Much like preparing for a tough coding challenge, it requires a mix of strategy, quick thinking, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. These debates can feel like a performance, where every response counts, much like in a coding interview. The way candidates present themselves, and how they answer tough questions, can make all the difference in their success.
Being an attorney who has spent a lot of time in California, I can say to the commenter below that with the laws of California that deal with the subject you raise, Mnuchin would never have gone to prison. It's not even clear he would have or seriously could have been indicted for the One West bank fiasco. The reputations of both Harris's allies and political enemies would probably have been tarnished. That's OK with me but the same processes that did that could have shaken the entire financial community in the state at a time when stability was paramount, and the only court rulings that were likely would have resulted in some big but not big enough fines that…
If she had taken her job as prosecutor/AG seriously, steve mnuchin would have been in prison and trump would have had to find hisself a different treasury sec.
