Sunday Thoughts
by Noah I've seen Raves that looked much like the scene portrayed in tonight's meme. I didn't stay around too long but then, I've never been what you call "a people person." That's a shocker, I know! Here's a little ditty from the biblical Book Of Genesis: "And the Lord said unto Noah, come thou and all thy house into the ark, for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Of every clean beasts thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female, and of the beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female. Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the make and his female, to keep seed alive upon the face of the earth. And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him." Do ya ever get the feeling that, in choosing Noah and his family to be the future progenitors of humankind, maybe God was guilty of a terrible lapse in judgement? Actually, the story of Noah kinda reminds me of that bomb shelter episode of The Twilight Zone; "room for just my family and all that." And ol' 600 year old Noah (Absolutely no relation, trust me!) and his family musta all gotten pretty fat with all that meet stompin' and a hoppin' around! But, there ya go, the ultimate gated community.
hatewatt, even when you understand, you still hate. you're too easy.
FTR, ALL religions have a similar story for the origin of mankind. MOST also have a great flood myth. I single out christianity because they are THE major religion that is fucking up the world as fast and as much as they possibly can. AND because americans are stupid enough to blindly believe such horse shit... and it's cathartic for me to point out that their beliefs are FUCKING INSANE.
and even 7s would be an inbreeding nightmare. but you're a lawyer. I wouldn't 'spect you to know that.
and I expect you to dismiss everything just because I say it. so... there's that too.
we agree that the…
crapper, The questions you raise are all ones that anyone left with a whole mind has raised by the their teenage years so they add nothing other than giving you another avenue for your didactic childishness. You've also missed the point of a post again. Watch the clip DWT's Noah put at the end of the post and that might clear it up for you. Might. I'd say it's there for a reason. I also noticed that you singled out Christianity for its use of the old testament Noah story. Two other major religions do the same, Adam and Eve, too. Is your singling out of just one of three due to myopia or should we see it as another…
again, christianity never takes the story to its end.
adam and eve had sons. musta been a lot of incestual relations for humankind to get to noah's time.
noah and his wife and fam? musta been a lot of incestual relations for humankind to get here. but it does 'splain all those human "flaws". Ask a genetecist (see: inbreeding).
the inbreeding thing is also relevant for all the aminals too/two.
also, ponder the size of that ark when you consider it had to hold about a billion pairs of just non-flying insects. different topic.
yet another of soooooooo many instances where christian dogma contains its own repudiations.
but since all the inbreeding(?)... christian hoomans is soooooo fuuuuuukkin stooooooopid that they…
