Sunday Thoughts:
"We are willing to mix with one another, but we do not want to become peoples of mixed-race."
-New GOP hero and CPAC opening speaker, Hungary's Vicktor Orban on July 23rd as he spoke at a school program in Romania
The meme above represents the 2022 version of Republican family values on a blend of specially brewed carcinogenic steroids. It's who they are. If it's pro-death and pro-repression, it goes in the party platform, right up top. That's been the GOP platform for a long time but now they not only no longer even try to hide it, they're totally out loud, proud, and screaming it in our faces louder than ever. Trump gave them their marching orders and they are doubling and tripling down. Expect more violence, much more.
For any of you who've missed it, the Republican Party is holding their annual white nationalist, anti-democracy Nazi-Fest in uber-nut nutstate Texas this weekend. It's quite an amazing assemblage of utterly asinine Christonuts of every desription! Imagine a confab where "Ted" Cruz is roundly applauded but would be viewed as be a perfect candidate for dictator if he'd only move just a little more to the right on the political spectrum.
Speaking of which, the star of the freakshow is FOX "News" favorite and Hungary's dear leader Viktor Orban (So much for the GOP hate of immigrants, eh?) whose keynote speech had the goose-stepper wannabes foaming at the mouth with frenzied standing ovations for his litany of homophobia, misogyny, racism, anti-Semitism, pro-Trump statements, and repeated calls for Christian Nationalists to unite and permanently take over not just America but the world. Republicans have a new "Christian" blessed trinity of Orban, Putin, and Trump. This ethno-religious vision is now officially the Republican Party platform. The worst is yet to come.
"Less drag queens and more Chuck Norris!"
-Orban at his CPAC opening speech.
Other stars at Nazi-Fest 2022 include former Breitbart Chairnazi Steve Bannon, The Pillow Freak, Marjorie Traitor Greene, and rabid "Great Replacement" loon Tucker Tiki Torch Carlson who doubles as Orban's press flak. Unfortunately for the assembled nazis, Alex Jones was unable to attend. He was occupied with his various hearings and trials. And, sadly for CPAC, Adolf Hitler is dead. But, hey, certainly not forgotten! No way! His spirit lives in the heart of every one at CPAC this weekend. After all, isn't that what Republican conventions are all about?
tick... tick... tick...
not long now.
