Ok, to be fair, and, as I like to say- I'm always fair! The psychos don't always take all the cash. Nope, instead they so often stuff an effective percentage of it, aka, a bribe, into the pockets of state and federal legislators to look the other way (or worse), saying there's tons of green to be made for all, just make sure you buy the suits that come with the extra big pockets. Obviously, this situation is a failure of our species and the word 'bipartisan' doesn't even begin to cover it. Two parties, three parties, four, five or six, worldwide, the existence of corruption is there to see in any political party in history. I'm tempted to laugh at anyone who thinks "new parties" would be any different but I almost feel sorry for them and their mental limitations. The lesson of Animal Farm by George Orwell is a truth that is only unabsorbed by morons, willful or otherwise.
What do "ordinary Americans" get out of this nihilistic way of doing things? If they're lucky they get the benefits of a few pennies on the dollar from the bigly bag of government largess to help them rebuild their lives up to a point that's considerably lower than it was before; money that comes from what they already earned and paid into "The Big Bag" in the first place. Oh, and whatever belongings and or land they had is now saturated with toxic cancer-causing chemicals. But hey, don't you worry your little heads about that! Cancer is big business, too!
So here we are, everytime a big hurricane hits, we hear idiots bellowing about "socialism" going to the victims. The bellowers sure want it when the storm hits them but not if it hits the other guy. Same with the gigantic conflagrations and the rising tides that will sink millions and millions of us. We see more and more Idas, Katrinas, and Helenes as the years go by and what do we do to fix this? We put a total wackjob in the oval office who thinks the solution is to drop atomic bombs into the storms! And, if not that, how 'bout redirecting with a sharpie! Meanwhile, a category 6 is only a matter of time, a few short years. One day the Earth will wipe us clean off it and try to start again. The tolerance of idiots will kill us.
