Sunday Thoughts:

Kneeling Nun by Martin Meytens (1695-1770). I present to you the Meytens "Kneeling Nun" Recto and Verso), circa 1731. Two moments in time, in the Rococo style. Very devotional. Two-sided paintings were a thing in Martin's time and that's what this is. "Kneeling Nun" has an A-side and a B-side. The painting was once owned by the Swedish ambassador to France. He only showed it to selected guests.
I'm now reconsidering my position on the church.
