Sunday Thoughts:

In that better world we can only dream about and work toward, Bernie and others would get the opportunity to part the Red Sea of Confederate flag-waving Maga hat-waving terrorists and Conservadem sellouts and lead us to a progressive promised land and we could ignore the praising of fatted calves, looking back only to see the waves wash away those addicted to the past and the corruption of cash. Yeah, that would be a miracle, a miracle of biblical proportions.

Still, we do what we can do. A new party some day? A positive evolution of what we already have? Well, the Republicans have morphed themselves into the Domestic Terrorism Party so, maybe someday the Democratic Party will morph into a true Progressive Party. I won't hold my breath waiting for that in my remaining lifetime but, as Winston Churchill once said-

You can always count on the Americans to do the right thing after they have tried everything else.

If that actually happened or even a viable, uncorrupt third party managed to be born, nurtured, and escape being crushed by the will and the weight of the money of the two current national parties, maybe, just maybe then 98% of us, regardless of political orientation, wouldn't be so damn pissed off and frustrated. What a concept. As it is, though, the bulk of our politicians have created and are, in every way possible, feeding a great big petri dish of American terrorism.
