The notorious Dobbs decision, more and more conservative court-approved gerrymandering, attempts at outlawing mifepristone, GOP legislators pushing genitalia inspections (just for teens, 'nuff said), pro-coup judges who want to ban contraceptives hanging out in a garden of dictators with nazi-loving billionaires...
You can see where this is going, right? Too many judges are steering us onto the path of Inquisition. It makes sense to them. After all, conservative types always want to go back as many centuries in time as we will let them. Hell, remember when Alito was quoting pig-ignorant English lawyers and judges from 13th century England to back up the total misogyny of the court's Dobbs decision? Not only was that revelatory about where Alito's broken mind is but, hey, of course! What conservative doesn't want to embrace the ignorance of medieval days gone by and force the rest of us to live by it? Give them a chance and they'll be trying to sell us on the idea of leaching cures the next time a plague comes 'round. Oh yeah, and if a woman dies from a septic pregnancy, it must be the Devil's work or God's will! Hell, maybe she was possessed or something.
How long before the courts start citing the Salem Witch Trials as precedent? You think there aren't plenty of judges out there who'd like to? Just take a close look at what we're dealing with.
yes. this is what happens when the good people refuse to elect anyone that will do their jobs for 57 years and counting.
you don't want nazi courts? don't elect those who either help the nazis or step aside and let them through unopposed.
