Loomer Tells All! No Holds Barred!
Trump’s craziest advisor and confidante is Laura Loomer, a 31 year old failed political candidate and far right extremist from Arizona. Many people assert that she is a transgender person, although I think that’s because she’s had tons of work on her face and because of the exaggerated way she applies her makeup. An alum of shady extremist operations like Project Veritas and Info Wars, somewhere along the line she lost her mind and has become an avatar for hate-filled radicalism so extreme that even former ally Marjorie Traitor Greene is in a political battle to the death with her! We’ll come back to Traitor Greene in a moment. First some background.
Over the last decade, Loomer’s aggressive and viciously deceitful behavior has gotten her banned from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, PayPal, food delivery mobile apps and Uber and Lyft. She sued everyone, lost all her cases and has been ordered to reimburse entities she dragged into court on absurd charges. She’s also been regularly thrown out of public events for causing dangerous disturbances.
That she and Trump would be drawn to each other was a foregone conclusion and in 2020 Loomer ran to represent Mar-a-Lago in Congress with Trump’s endorsement. She lost with just 39% of the vote. Two years later, she challenged senile Florida backbencher, Daniel Webster, a staunch conservative, in a raucous primary. She wound up with 44.2% of the vote.
Last year MTG persuaded Trump to not hire her for his campaign based her record of lying and mental instability. Other traits— being a severe Islamophobe, extremely anti-Semitic, homophobic and a virulent racist, for example— attract Trump rather than repulse him. This past week Loomer was at Trump’s side every time he was seen in public, causing concern in MAGA world, which is blaming her for some of the nonsense he spouted during the debate, like the racist lies about Haitians eating people’s dogs and cats. Loomer has subsequently charged Haitians with also eating humans, although Trump has picked up on that one yet, at least not publicly.
The social media battle between Traitor Greene and Loomer has been something to behold. Joe Perticone and Marc Caputo took a swing at her last night, revealing that Traitor Greene had just spoken with Trump about the danger he’s placing his campaign in by cavorting with Loomer, causing Loomer to liken Traitor Greene to a “hooker... The quarreling, visceral even by Trump world standards, was viewed with intense schadenfreude in Democratic circles. It brought to the surface some of the internal tensions that Trump’s team had successfully buried for much of the election season. And it left the ex-president’s campaign ducking for cover. ‘We’re staying out of this,’ said a Trump campaign adviser who spoke on condition of anonymity… But Loomer’s role in Republican politics is clearly growing. The National Republican Senatorial Committee— the GOP’s official campaign arm for the upper chamber— has increasingly relied on the video content Loomer produces. Since July, the NRSC has promoted eight of Loomer’s videos featuring her ‘reporters’ who shout loaded questions from the street at Democratic senators up for re-election in battleground races. ‘Yesterday NRSC shared a video of a reporter asking Jon Tester why he voted to allow men to play in women’s sports, which is a major issue in Montana and across the country. We share content from left, right, and center reporters asking Democrats tough questions,’ said NRSC spokesman Mike Bergh, adding that the organization will use any videos of anyone asking Tester tough questions.”
Even the NY Times has been moved to take note. “A far-right activist known for her endless stream of sexist, homophobic, transphobic, anti-Muslim and occasionally antisemitic social media posts and public stunts, Loomer,” wrote Ken Bensinger, “has made a name for herself over the past decade by unabashedly claiming 9/11 was ‘an inside job,’ calling Islam ‘a cancer,’ accusing Ron DeSantis’s wife of exaggerating breast cancer and claiming that President Biden was behind the attempt to assassinate Trump in July… For many observers, including some of Trump’s most important allies, the Republican presidential nominee’s choice at a critical moment of the campaign to platform a social-media instigator, albeit one with nearly 1.3 million followers on Twitter, was stunning. ‘The history of this person is just really toxic,’ Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, a Trump ally, told a reporter for HuffPost on Thursday. ‘I don’t think it’s helpful at all.’” Loomer’s response was to out Lindsey as a closet queen:
Graham’s comments, wrote Bensinger, were echoed by Traitor Greene: “I don’t think that she has the experience or the right mentality to advise a very important presidential election.” Since Wednesday, dozens of deranged tweets have flown back and forth between these two unhinged conspiracy theory lunatics. It started with this one after Traitor Greene commented on Loomer’s anti-Indian xenophobia/racism, claiming that the White House would stink of curry and her speeches would be facilitated by call centers when Kamala wins. Traitor Greene demanded she take it down: “This is appalling and extremely racist. It does not represent who we are as Republicans or MAGA. This does not represent President Trump. This type of behavior should not be tolerated ever.” Loomer:
