With a hand on a holy book, the other hand (that has been convicted of groping and/or sexually assaulting women) to be held aloft for the world to observe, a small, petty, irrelevant (history will prove) man will today swear before a deaf, dumb, and blind god to uphold the constitution of the United (definitely not united) States of America.
There is no irony to be found here. There’s no sense of normalcy ahead. One can’t even feel around and find in this moment a pulse indicative of dignity, absurdity, nor parody.
At a time such as this, as the world watches and recognizes it is being turned upside down, as it is undoubtedly doing today, all one can do is to learn how to walk on one’s hands.
he's not irrelevant. he's an avatar of pure evil that is rapidly devouring all civilization -- greed and hate. Yeah, avatar. He did not start the greed/hate revolution. That started with the likes of nixon, reagan and thatcher, but others as well. And it was never countered by an FDR or MLK or RFK or a Democratic party or, most importantly, voters. In fact, the evil has been flourishing, growing, mushrooming... because it is not opposed.
It is to be expected that the evil would find such an abomination as trump for their icon. But it certainly didn't have to be only him. It could have been any of the 77 million. And he's not alone in the world. …
