Is RFK Jr Really A Threat To Trump? Señor Trumpanzee Sure Thinks So

With Trump waffling on abortion and pissing off some die-hard anti-Choice fanatics, the nomination of anti-Choice terrorist and Operation Rescue founder Randall Terry by the Constitution Party can’t be good news for the Trump Party. Extremist voters now have a vehicle for a meaningful protest. Trump had something say about a protest candidate over the weekend— but it wasn’t Randall Terry, it was about someone who he views as a much greater threat— RFK, Jr., whose campaign, ironically was promoted and financed by Trump supporters as a means to draw votes away from Biden. Polls show that has backfired as more Democrats reject Kennedy than Republicans do. Take a look at these 3 “tweets” Trump dropped on his social media site late Friday:

I guess he’s given up trying to lure Kennedy to be his running mate and now he’s a “plant,” “Radical Left,” “a WASTED PROTEST VOTE,” as well as “totally Anti-Gun, an Extreme Environmentalist who makes the Green New Scammers look Conservative, a Big Time Taxer and Open Border Advocate, and Anti-Military/Vet…” He also went out of his way to gratuitously insult Nicole Shanahan, RFK, Jr’s running mate. His 3rd “page” claims “His Views on Vaccines are FAKE,”which is, unfortunately, another typical Trump falsehood. RFK, Jr. is the anti-vax lunatic he says he is— and what all good QAnon MAGAts wish Trump was.

Both the latest Marist and NBC polls show Kennedy hurting Trump more than Biden. I suspect this caught Trump’s attention:

Kennedy tweeted back at Trump by challenging him to a debate. “When frightened men take to social media they risk descending into vitriol, which makes them sound unhinged. President Trump's rant against me is a barely coherent barrage of wild and inaccurate claims that should best be resolved in the American tradition of presidential debate.” Trump, of course, is too scared to debate anyone— just as he's too scared to ever take the witness stand in any of his court cases— and will never debate Kennedy.

A popular MAGA website insists that “Kennedy’s… past political positions and statements undermined his claims of being a ‘moderate populist.’ Additionally, Kennedy appears to have announced policy positions aimed at undermining voter gains by Trump. The National Pulse reported that when the former Republican President had shown polling gains among Black voters, Kennedy suddenly announced his support for issuing reparations to American descendants of slaves. During a November interview with Jeremy Ryan Slate, the National Pulse’s editor-in-chief Raheem Kassam detailed how Kennedy’s independent bid was likely a psyop to undermine Trump. ‘Obviously, if you look at RFK’s track record, he’s incredibly left-wing,’ Kassam said, adding: ‘He’s not just left-wing, but he’s supported both far-left progressive philosophy while also backing globalist-left, establishment-left politicians.’ ‘Eighty percent of his platform is a complete psyop on conservatives,’ Kassam continued. He noted that Kennedy appeals specifically to voters who are ‘pissed off at Biden enough that they may actually vote for Donald Trump.’”

Those numbers are not encouraging. Trump lost by 3 points in 2016 and became president. Given certain states, trump could lose by up to 15 points and still win. Given the prospect of fake electors, he could lose biglier than that and still be declared fuhrer.

If your corrupt neoliberal pussy party is lucky, insane jr will do what daffy ross perot did to hw and bobdole. But you'll still have to win by 5 points AND have some plan in place about those fake electors... and you won't and you don't.

so... there's that.
