Does AIPAC Make Candidates Agree In Writing To Support Genocide Before They Decide To Back Them?

Mark Mellman On The Warpath Against Progressives Again

Mellman-- money launderer

Yesterday, I saw something about how Trump is determined to turn DeSantis into a political eunuch and make sure he can never run for higher office. I’d like to help him… but he doesn’t need my help and— it’s probably better to stay out of these kinds of brutal Godzilla vs Mothra battles. On the other hand, when AIPAC gets involved in a Democratic primary— I get the feeling that the candidate they’re backing is someone to oppose. Yesterday DMFI— AIPC’s evil little sister— made some announcements about candidates it will be backing, almost always a precursor the AIPAC and other anti-Muslim organizations weighing as well.

Keep in mind that one of the worst players in Democratic politics is a grifter and scammer named Mark Mellman, who owns DMFI (Democratic Majority for Israel) and runs the political operation for AIPAC’s toxic PAC. I don’t know what, if anything, Mellman actually think about Israel, but he’s one of the most hostile and venomous characters towards progressives I have ever come across. He manages to persuade many in the Republican donor class to help him replace progressives with more conservative Democrats in deep blue districts where Republicans can’t get any traction. We’ve been reading a lot about how AIPAC plans on spending $100 million to defeat progressives like Cori Bush, Jamaal Bowman, Ilhan Omar, Summer Lee, Rashida Tlaib and other outstanding progressives. Visit the Give AIPAC The Finger page here or the Blue America Ceasefire page here.

Yesterday, the other shoe dropped. They will also be backing non-incumbent conservative Democrats in primaries. The reason this caught my attention is because they plan to spend money against Dave Min. That’s a great idea. Min is a Wall Street whore and his nomination would probably lead to a Republican victory in November. I don’t know much about Joanna Weiss, who Mellamn is going to try to help win, but she couldn’t be as bd as Min. Elena Schneider reported that “United Democracy Project, the super PAC arm of AIPAC, is already dropping $500,000 on TV ads in the district to support Weiss.”

The race that worries me in more of a typical Mellman move— trying to defeat progressive Jamie McLeod-Skinner on behalf of a right-of-center corporate Democrat, who the DCCC and EMILY’s List also like, Janelle Bynum. Blue America has endorsed McLeod-Skinner and we’d appreciate it if you would contribute to her campaign here.

In an open Virginia congressional seat, Mellman is helping Virginia state House Speaker Eileen Filler-Corn, who’s Jewish and probably pro-genocide. The best of the dozen candidates in the primary is Atif Qarni, the former state education secretary and likely not in favor of genocide.

Mellman also endorsed Luz Rivas, as expected in the Tony Cárdenas San Fernando Valley seat, where Angelica Duenas is campaigning for a broadly progressive vision including a ceasefire. Mellman’s other picks were New Dem against Republicans— Will Rollins, who’s challenging Ken Calvert (R-CA); Monica Tranel, who’s up against Ryan Zinke (R-MT); Michelle Vallejo, a good candidate challenging Monica de la Cruz (R-TX); Tony Vargas, who’s running against Don Bacon (R-NE) in Omaha; and Adam Frisch, the guy who chased Boebert out of the district and now has a much tougher race, likely against a garden variety Republican instead of a psychopath.

AIPAC and DMFI were on the warpath against progressives last cycle. One of the ones they beat was Daniel Lee, then mayor of Culver City. Yesterday Daniel told me that he knew his campaign for Congress had been “a long-shot with a crowded and well-moneyed field. But, the $1.2 million spent against me (one of seven candidates) by AIPAC, DMFI and Sam Bankman Fried's PAC was too much to overcome. And that was the point, target progressives so that their ideas don't make it past the primary and you'll never have to debate them in Congress. Corporate Democrats and Republicans won't need to pander to the working class they can serve the affluent elite open and without a fear of consequences, electoral or otherwise. A great investment. Bad for Democracy.”
