As His Campaign Fails, Trump & Allies Are Preparing To Try To Overturn The Election Results Again

His Moron Fans Believe Everything He Says

With every fiber of his being, Trump is a cheat and a predator. Because projection is the way he’s wired, he assumes everyone else is also a cheat and a predator. And because he’s a vicious and virulent racist, he assumes Black people and other minorities are the worst of all. Look at this tweet melding together both sick perspectives from a speech he gave in Philly yesterday. He brought up 3 cities that he claims, with no evidence, cheat in elections:

  • Philly- 56% of the population is minorities

  • Detroit- 78% of the population is minorities

  • Atlanta- 56% of the population is minorities

So… while Trump brainwashes the morons who believe every word that comes out of his mouth— and there are literally tens of millions of them— about how Kamala is mentally unfit (more projection), his law team is preparing the legal case that she stole the election. Yesterday he was telling his fans at a MAGA rally in Erie— he won Erie County 48.01% to 46.44% in 2016 and the narrowly lost 4 years later, 49.66% to 48.63%— that Kamala is “mentally impaired” and should be “impeached and prosecuted.” Trump is mentally impaired— severely so— and he was impeached (twice) and is being prosecuted for actual crimes and has been found guilty in the first trial to go to a jury.

On Saturday he said “Crooked Joe Biden became mentally impaired. Sad. But lying Kamala Harris, honestly, I believe she was born that way. There’s something wrong with Kamala. And I just don’t know what it is but there is definitely something missing. And you know what, everybody knows it.”

The Associated Press reported that “With just over a month until the election, Trump is intensifying his use of personal and offensive attacks, even as some Republicans say he’d be better sticking to the issues. His suggestions that political enemies be prosecuted are particularly notable for their departure from norms in the U.S. in which the justice system is supposed to be protected from political influence. In recent weeks, he has threatened prosecutions of Google for allegedly giving priority to ‘good stories’ about Harris, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and anyone he deems to be ‘involved in unscrupulous behavior’ related to the coming election. Trump has long threatened legal action against his rivals, including President Joe Biden and his 2016 rival, Hillary Clinton. This month he threatened to jail those ‘involved in unscrupulous behavior’ this election, including election workers, lawyers, political operatives, donors, and voters, yet again sowing doubt about the integrity of the election, even though fraud is very rare... His derision of the first Black woman and person of South Asian descent to lead a major party ticket as ‘stupid,’ ‘weak,’ ‘dumb as a rock’ and ‘lazy’ is also a sign of how nasty and personal the final stretch of the campaign may be.” Everyone knows— not counting his brainwashed masses— that all of those descriptions fit him far more than Kamala.

So while this freak show proceeds, the GOP is prepping the law suits claiming fraud. Yesterday, Reuters reported that racist crackpot and Trumpist Steven Miller “is advancing a bold legal theory: that judges can throw out election results over ‘failures or irregularities’ by local officials. The lawsuit by the America First Legal Foundation, a conservative advocacy group, says the court in such cases should be able to toss the election results and order new rounds of voting in two counties in Arizona, where Democratic candidate Vice President Kamala Harris is leading Trump in the polls by a razor-thin margin.”

Almost four years after Trump and his allies tried and failed to overturn his election defeat with a flurry of more than 60 hastily arranged lawsuits, Republicans have launched an aggressive legal campaign laying the groundwork to challenge potential losses.
The Republican National Committee says it is involved in more than 120 lawsuits across 26 states, in a strategy that some legal experts and voting rights groups say is meant to undercut faith in the system.
…While the Arizona case is likely a long shot, legal experts say it fits with a pattern of Republican-backed lawsuits that appear aimed at sowing doubts about the legitimacy of the election before it occurs and providing fodder for challenging the results after the fact.
“This is part of creating the narrative that there will be irregularities that will require outside intervention," said Columbia Law School professor Richard Briffault.
…The Harris campaign said in a statement that Republicans are "scheming to sow distrust in our elections and undermine our democracy so they can cry foul when they lose."
"Team Harris-Walz enters the home stretch of this campaign with a robust voter and election protection operation and the best lawyers in the country, ready for any challenge Republicans throw at us. We will give Americans the free and fair election they deserve so all eligible voters can vote and have that vote counted," the campaign said.
In Michigan, another closely contested state, Republicans are suing to prevent state agencies from expanding access to voter registration, restrict the use of mobile voting sites like vans and impose tighter verification rules for mail-in ballots.
In Nevada and other states, Trump allies are seeking to purge voter rolls of allegedly ineligible voters and noncitizens, though the deadline for systematically culling rolls in time for the election has passed.
And in Pennsylvania, Republicans are fighting to enforce strict mail-in voting rules and limit voters' ability to correct mistakes on their ballots. On Sept. 13, Republicans scored a victory when the state's highest court ruled mail ballots with incorrect dates will not be counted.

Zach Bass added that “Through public remarks, Truth Social screeds and more than 100 preemptive lawsuits, Trump is assembling a detailed catalog of excuses for rejecting the results of the 2024 election— if he loses. The Trump-aligned efforts to overturn the 2020 election— both overtly and covertly, peacefully then violently—shocked the American public. No one should be surprised this time around… Trump falsely claimed Monday that Democrats are exploiting an overseas ballot program for expats and military members in order to circumvent ‘any citizenship check or verification of identity.’ At a rally in Pennsylvania last week, Trump denounced what he called the ‘stupid’ concept of voting 45 days before the election— floating conspiracy theories about his loss in the crucial swing state four years ago.”

Basu also reported that “Even without evidence of voting irregularities, Trump is preparing to deploy broader rhetorical arguments for why the election was fundamentally unfair. The former president has accused Democrats of ‘cheating’ by swapping out President Biden for Vice President Kamala Harris in June, and engaging in ‘lawfare’ through criminal prosecution… Since 2020, the Republican Party apparatus has been reorganized— from the top down— to give credence to Trump's false claims that election fraud is a scourge on American politics… House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) drew outrage last week by pledging to certify the 2024 election and ‘follow the Constitution’ only if it's a ‘free, fair and safe election.’”

On Saturday Rep Joe Morelle (D-NY) pushed back against MAGA Mike, writing that “It is disturbingly clear that the Republican Party, captive to the whims of former President Donald Trump, is setting the stage to once again attempt to overyrbn a lawful American election. Adhering to the Constitution and the laws that govern the United States is the fundamental duty of every member of Congress. Our legal and moral obligation to defend our democracy should never be stained by election denialism and conspiracy theories. Yet earlier this week, when asked if he would certify the results of the 2024 election, Speaker Mike Johnson said he would do so only ‘if we have a free, fair and safe election.’ His implication was as obvious as it was disingenuous: that our election may not be free, fair and safe, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. The 2024 presidential election is already well underway. Ballots have been sent to U.S. service members and voters living overseas, states have begun mailing absentee ballots, and some have begun early voting. As we begin the process so central and vital to our democracy, Americans should demand the highest ethical standards from our leaders. Unfounded insinuations intended to erode confidence in our election system make a mockery of those standards.

He went on to say that MAGA Mike’s “recent comments are simply his latest effort in a pattern of misinformation and disinformation, questioning the results of an election that has only just begun. The lies being spread by Trump, Speaker Johnson, House Republicans and extreme right-wing conspiracy theorists about noncitizen voting have been repeatedly debunked. Yet they have persisted in a clear attempt to generate anxiety in the minds of voters, and to serve, come November, as the foundation for false claims of election fraud. And Speaker Johnson’s record of election denialism and refusing to commit to a peaceful transfer of power dates back to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election, which Trump’s own Department of Homeland Security called “the most secure in American history.” … Johnson has a moral and legal obligation to support the orderly and peaceful transition of government and to ensure every American has confidence that their vote counts. His actions and comments fall well short of meeting this obligation. It is beneath the dignity of his office and betrays his oath as a member of the United States Congress. We are at a critical moment in our nation’s history. When historians look back on Trump’s Big Lie, Speaker Johnson’s refusal to stand up for our American democracy will loom large. So too will the work of House Democrats to protect the truth and defend our democracy.”

Hmm...Trump has suffered NO personal consequences for trying to overturn the 2020 election results. He has yet to ever see the inside of a courtroom (much less the inside of a jail cell) for putting the squeeze on the GA Sec. of State, for the 1/6 insurrection, or for anything else. He fears that he finally will (presumably) face various prosecutions in 2025 if he is defeated.

Trump and his minions will take a scorched earth approach post-election. That's as certain as Trump grifting his supporters at every opportunity.

As the post below (in its usual style) notes, thanks to decades long efforts by the Federalist Society (and to ineffective reponses by the Dems), Trump should face friendly forums in…

Anyone see Jon Oliver's federal court episode? Because your side are such pussies (doing jack shit as mcturtle sat on hundreds of judge noms from obamanation (one of the many things the colossal pussy obamanation did jack shit about) and refuse to earn elections, the federal judiciary is about 65% nazi. Meritless nazi suits have about a 2 in 3 odds to win, thus normalizing the meme that your side cheats. note: it might not cheat, but they ARE colossal pussies. And pussies always do what pussies always do... absofuckinglutely nothing.

And I'm sure they're ginning up another bigger better-armed insurrection should not enough meritless suits succeed. And if their fake electors are not counted. AND if your corrupt mediocrit…
