Iranian hackers gave them to tons of news organizations but no one was willing to publish them. And then American Muckrakers did. I read through them, although, apparently, there are more e-mails that they plan to publish soon. Randomly, here’s some of what we found about some of the characters we regularly talk about here at DWT:
Trump paid RFK, Jr. $100,000 for his endorsement after he dropped out of the race. That seems like a pitifully small amount and I assume it is just a downpayment.
Anna Paulina Luna (AKA Anna Mayerhofer, who changed her name in a feeble attempt to appear to be Hispanic) has put a great deal of effort into inventing a past for herself. Roger Stone warned the Trump campaign that she “served in the Air Force for 17 months. I know she was never deployed outside the country and never served in combat. I know she released a photo of herself in military (Marine Corp) fatigues holding a military grade weapon with the legend ‘until you have spilled blood for this country you cannot understand the fight for freedom’” which implies that she served in combat. Since she used this image for fundraising it is technically a violation of Florida state law to raise money on the basis of a false claim of combat duty.”
Stone also thought it was, for whatever reason, important to mention that before winning the Republican Party congressional nomination, Luna/Mayerhofer was, much like her nutty, very, very far right colleague Lauren Boebert (R-CO), a prostitute, although he politely referred to it as “a dancer at a Gentlemans club in the Pensacola area and that doing so was a violation of the Air Force code of conduct.” Very weird— albeit interesting— job for someone raised as a Messianic Jew.
As we’ve been writing for years, Trump (and the Republican Party and their candidates in general) conspire with Rasmussen for favorable polling “results.” There was no mention of Trafalgar or Quantus Insights in this batch of e-mails, but they're doing the same thing as well.
The potential running mates were JD Vance, Vivek Ramaswamy, Tim Scott, Ben Carson, Doug Burgum, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Byron Donalds and Ron DeSantis. NOT on the list were Marco Rubio, Rick Scott and Elise Stefanek, who all believed they were being considered.
I don't care if a candidate was a prostitute. I care if they're dumb, dishonest and likely to lead America down the wrong path.
